So today was my boys first day at their daycare. Up until now, they've only ever been with me, DH or MIL.

I was so worried that they'd be shy or scared or cry, but they walked into the place like they owned it! They went right to the girl and had no problems whatsoever!

It's such a relief to me, I'd feel so guilty if they'd cried. I'm very curious to see how they deal with the day though, they normally still have 2 naps and the daycare only does 1. Plus they are super picky eaters, so that will be interesting.

I was watching them in there, and my babies aren't little babies anymore - it's so sad

I completely understand. Today was the first day for our girls at their new day care. Up until now, a family friend has been keeping them at her house. She had to quit, so we had to find a day care center. They were playing with the toys when we left the room. They seemed okay, but I am worrying about them. Like yours, they are still taking two naps and the center only does one. I warned the teacher that there may be issues until they get used to the new schedule. I really hope they are doing okay and are having fun. I think they will like being around other kids their age, but I will still worry about them. They are growing up so fast!

I think it's so much harder on us Mommy's than it is for them!

I just called the daycare to see if I could get access to their webcam (which I can't - stupid work) and they said that one of the boys fell outside and bumped his head. I know he's ok, but I so want to rush over there and cuddle him!

I am sure everything will go well. That is great that there were no separation issues today. You have probably found yourself a great daycare and the kids feel comfortable there! I agree that often times it is much harder on us than them. :hug99:

Glad to hear it! My boys will be starting daycare in August and I'm a little worried about how they will handle it. It's so sad that our babies aren't babies anymore :(

I called the day care earlier and they said my girls were doing good. They were down for their nap (which took a little soothing), but they were doing fine. It was a relief to hear! Now, I only hope they are in a good mood when I pick them up and that they are excited to go back in the morning.

That's what I'm hoping - that they'll want to go back!

Apparently, this morning Caleb was really tired and she held him for a while, but Connor wanted to be Mr Independanat

Connor did scratch his head but they don't know how or when because he didn't make a peep- I think that's a good sign - he was having so much fun, he didn't want to take time out to cry

Sorry! Been busy at work and not been able to get on Twinstuff. There first day was good except we also got our first accident report. Nothing serious. Tessa fell on the sidewalk when they went outside to play and scraped her knee. We kind of thought it was funny because we figured Regan would be the first to get hurt. The second day was fine. The third day they cried when I dropped them off and they were very tired when we got home. I think they were both in bed and asleep by 6:30pm. They cried again today when I dropped them off, but they seemed happier when I picked them up. They were playing when I got there. They seem to be doing well. I know there will be an adjustment period now that they have realized they are going to be there every day.
