First Day Alone with my Babes

    So, today was my first day alone with the babes. My hubby came home at lunch and was surprised that I had managed to shower, brush my hair and get dressed. I guess I am making it. It is a little hard to get up off the couch still as my incision is still healing, but overall things are great.

    The babies bring such joy to my life. They are great babies. Not overly demanding or anything.

    Twinstuff has been a great forum for me during my pregnancy and I just wanted to share my great day.

    BTW, my son is now taking 4oz. at a feeding and he is only 3 weeks old tomorrow. My daughter is sticking with 2.5 or 3 for a while still. She was 20 oz. smaller at birth and just cannot keep up with her brother.

    :) i am proud everything is going so good for you. Twins are wonderful and arm loads of work, but i love every minute of it.

    Yeah!!! I love reading posts like these. I too stayed home alone with them for the first time when they were three weeks old. And I too got a shower...some things are STILL a priority! ;) I am so thrilled for you that things are going smoothly. It is a lot of work, regardless, but it is so rewarding. Congrats on one of your first big milestones!!

    a SHOWER?!?!? i am so impressed! there were days my DH would come home after school and i would still be in my PJs!!! how sad is that!??!!? glad you are feeling well and handling it smoothly thus far!!!

    how wonderful! Wow, a shower - VERY impressive...in those first weeks i don't think i ever got a shower until after dh was home for hours...

    Good for you! that is awesome!

    sometimes DH has to remind me to shower... he'll ask me when the last time i showered was and then i'll realize it's been 2 days <oops :FIFblush: >! I can't believe how on top of it you are at 3 weeks; that's amazing. Keep it up!
