First crib tent was a hit

You all told me, but I didn't believe it till I saw it with my own eyes -- Amy loves her crib tent. She was very interested watching Daddy set it up, and kept saying "My tent! I seep in a tent!" (We had not told her anything about it before it arrived.) When it was all set up and I actually put her in it, she seemed a little reserved, but was quickly walking around and poking her fingers at the mesh. She also fell asleep a bit faster than usual, though that may have been random.

Sarah, meanwhile, got distressed because she didn't have one. So as soon as they were in bed I ordered another one from Walmart. I doubt Sarah would ever climb out, but it's worth another $50 for her not to feel deprived.

FWIW, it does seem to work on our crib with solid ends and an attached dresser, though it was more of a pain to install. Because he couldn't reach through the ends, DH had to take out the bumper and mattress, climb on a stepladder and then lean his entire body into the crib to tie down the part that gets attached to the springs. It took about 45 minutes all told. And it's going to be a pain to change the sheets, but I guess it's worth it for no climbing out.

Yay! Glad they like it. Mine love their crib tents and now they think everyone sleeps in a tent. We also got the Peapods for when they sleep at my parents, and we took them with us when we traveled and stayed in a hotel. I was SO glad we had them, and they were much easier to transport than PNP's. I am so relieved that they can now stay in cribs until they are 3 yrs old.

I'm glad your DD likes her tent! I bought two from the start, but only put it on Andrew's crib as he was the one climbing out. He loved it almost from the start (he was a little unsure right away). Within a month Nathan started climbing out regularly, so we put his tent up. He was thrilled from the first moment he saw his crib. I bet you'll be really glad you got a second tent! Aren't they wonderful!

Glad it's working for Amy, Alden. And good idea to get one for Sarah, so she does not feel deprived.

I had to do the same, buy a tent for Phoebe even though she didn't really need one! Mine love their tents. Although I suppose I should face moving mine into beds soon. Phoeobe's tent has a huge hole in it. sigh. Not ready yet!

Glad your 2 like their tents! Sleep well!!

Hello everyone! I don't post often but I'm here faithfully everyday to see what I can learn. I keep my identical twin granddaughters everyday (21 months) and I'd been so afraid they'd fall out of the crib. After reading the positive comments on here, I ordered a crib tent and I love it! They were a little unsure, but the look of sheer relief when I unzip it and can get them out, is just priceless!!!! It keeps them safe and me sane - wonderful! Carson actually fell out of her crib at home just about the time I put the tent up at my house. Thanks again girls for all your help - I don't know what I'd have done without you all!
