My girls will be one in April and I am so excited that we made it through this adventurous year and I am now trying to plan their birthday party. We have a big family so birthday's are always a big deal to us. I know that they don't really understand at that age but I was trying to at least come up with a cute theme for them. We did a big princess party for my other daughter's first birthday but I don't have any cute ideas for them yet. Any ideas???

THey have really cut party packs at orientaltrading.com that I have looked to get ideas. I love their ladybug and tropical fish. I have a while but an outdoor ladybug would be fun.

My girls will be two in April and we are doing a Spring/flower theme. You know,

    Roses are Red
    Violets are Blue
    Srings is here
    And we are Two!

Or some dorky thing like that. I love spring and can't wait for it to get here. Plus it's really easy to decorate for a Spring/flower theme. It's very girly and can also be adult appropriate. I'll probably give a little bouquet of flowers to the moms as a thank you gift and I'll make a flower cake (or buy one ;) ) and the whole works. Oriental trading has such great things for decorations and goody bags. They have a fantastic selection on bubbles in the cutest containers. Las tyear I did a Wiggles theme and I bought guitar bubbles for the boys (to represent Murray) and butterfly bubbles for the girls (to represent Dorothy's love of butterflies). Oh I'm getting so excited just thinking about it!! GL Hope you get a suggestion you love.

We are a few months away but I had to come up with a plan fairly early so I could add it to the calendar of my playgroup. We will be meeting about 30 other kids (all born in 2007) and their mommies at a local park which has a farm. We will have a big picnic. Beacause it is a farm, we will be using the Old McDonald theme for 1st birthday.

    It is very cute.

Ours turn one on 3/23 (which is also Easter, so their party will be 3/22)...

We're doing a rubber ducky theme, which I've stolen from a friend's sister, but there's TONS of ideas online if you google rubber ducky party. Already know what I'm doing for the cake, started creating the photo invite, and got some rubber ducky wilton chocolate molds (going to make little yellow duckys and put in little clear baggies with marshmallows too look like bubbles--all my idea! hee hee).

I figure this will be the one time I can be totally cutesie and love every second of it because they're little. Dad can't tell me it's cheezy, and we can go with a gender neutral theme, at least just this once!!!!

You can also go to birthdayexpress.com. They have lots of stuff for first birthdays. We are going with the little slugger theme.

My cousin did this for her DS's first birthday and it was SOOOOOO cute! Her SIL made the rubber ducky chocolate lollipops and put them like a bouquet in a big vase for people to take on their way out.

We are doing a 'beach party' theme. Their b-day is 3/10, which is cold and wintry here, but they are pisces (sign of the fish) so I thought it would be cool to make them fish b-day cakes. Then that morphed into the beach party in winter theme. I am ordering a bunch of beach balls from oriental trading, and some tropical fish bubbles for the older kids, we are having bob marley music, and a BBQ with easy food (burgers, hot dogs, salads). We are also having it at a local yacht club which works with the theme. Have fun planning!

We are going to go with a "Veggie Tales" theme... and to take it even further, a Pirate Veggie Tale theme (since the movie just came out). Should be easy and extra fun to do! We can't wait!

We are going to do a Mickey and Minnie theme since I have b/g twins and they LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!!! I found a woman on ebay who make the cutest party hats and bibs and when I saw them I had to run with it!Mickey and Minnie
