Riley and Skylar turn The "BIG 1" on March 24th and I have at least 57 people invited to their party - My house won't be able to fit almost 60 people in it. So my question is do you think it's bad to have their birthday in June? I was thinking a bbq at my house that way people can be inside and outside.

My boys Heath and Grayson will be 1 on March 21! Anyways, I would do at least a small party on their birthday then perhaps a larger one in June, but I don't think that only having the party in June is fair.
It is a very exciting day!!

My girls will be one on 3/28. We are having 2 parties: one for family only & one with our playgroup. If I combined those parties, my house would be CRAZY.
Good to know I'm not the only one already planning.....

i thikn it is fine to have immediate family on their real birthday and a big one in the summer! I would be in the same situation. i have a huge extended family but my house would be too small to hold everyone so i prob would have a big party in the summer too

I'd do it on their birthday and have it at the community center or something similar if I couldn't pare down the guest list.

My guys have the same birthday!! March 24. We have a fairly large number of people (although not that many [IMG] ) we would like to invite as well - mainly NICU staff who were there for their first 10 weeks - what we are going to do, is have an 'Open House' for a couple hours during the day, so that people drop by at different times, and there won't be such a crowd in the house, and so the boys won't be overwhelmed...

I figured if anything I would have their cakes at a specific time, so that people could see that if they wanted, but otherwise, drop in and drop out is my policy [IMG]

I think it'd be extremely weird to be invited to a birthday party in June for people born in March. It actually might even seem a little gift-grubby, even if that's not how you are thinking. You could have a small party in March and then a BBQ in June, but I would not bill the June BBQ as a birthday party - just a fun get-together. If it bothers you to not be able to have a big party in your home, find a restaurant/hall to hold it at. We did ours at Bertucci's because I couldn't fit 40 adults and 15 kids in my house in January. Knights of Columbus and VFW halls often have affordable rental rates.
