I know I still have four and a half months until my babies turn one! But I really want to start thinking of a theme, and start thinking about what I want to do. So my question is, what's a good girl/boy theme?

Also, what did you do/or are you going to do, for your babies first birthday party? Is it just going to be a low key family thing? Or are you doing something big?

    Please HELP :D

    thanks ladies!

I'm still up in the air about this one, and I only have a little over a month to get ready! Like you, I started thinking about a few months ago and haven't gotten around to actually planning anything. On one hand, I think it would be nice to just keep it small and simple. On the other hand, we went through a good bit getting them here safely and then home from the NICU that to me their first birthday is a HUGE deal and I want to make a HUGE deal about it. I'm having trouble finding somewhere to have it... Just inviting family would be a lot of people and our house is out of the question. I think as far as theme goes we're just going to girly things up and go all out pink lol... They don't watch tv or know who any characters are so I don't want to do a character theme and I just haven't given much thought to any other type theme like western, carnival, etc.

I totally would do something all pink too! I don't think my son would love that too much. :) I am thinking of a BBQ at our house, since it's the beginning of May. And just for a few family and friends (I think) but I still am unsure. This birthday thing is hard! I was thinking of a princess and prince theme, but I am just not too sure. My husband thought of a surprise themed party since they made their debut by surprise, but I don't really like the idea.

I'm no help on a theme, but we just kept it low key and just some family only. I didnt want there to be so much commotion that the boys were miserable and therefore I would be miserable too. GL with your planning.

We are going all out like we did for DD and do for all of her birthdays. We'll do the twins at the park since we don't have enough room in our house. Grill burgers and hotdogs and rent a bounce house for the older kids. We have a lot of close friends that will be invited as well as family. I'm sure we will do a princess theme for the girls but I think a prince and princess theme for your b/g would be great!

We are having their party on Saturday. It's going to be a low key affair, since we do not have a big house to host a lot of people. It's just all family and we are doing a Winnie the Pooh theme, since the kiddos love Winnie and the gang.

Even though I have two girls we did Noah's Ark theme. I figured we have plenty of years to come to do the princessy pink parties! We had a HUGE first birthday party, over 100 people. It was super stressful getting everything together and ready, but it was so much fun and the girls had a blast.
