First B-day Party

I haven't posted on this yet, but did the 1st b-day party really stress anyone else out? I mean, I wasn't as worried on my wedding day about everything going as planned.
It went great, the girls got way too much stuff. DH hasn't taken all the toys out yet, he says that he will open a new one every week so they don't get bored so easily.

A friend of mine made the cakes. I think she did a GREAT job. L & M didn't really tear into them too much. They were a little more prissy than I thought they would be.
My inlaws gave them the pink tractors. They already have 2 just like them, except they are red. My FIL buys and restores old tractors and the girls are already fascinated by them. One of the first words was tractor.

BTW- yes I was VERY stressed out for the kids first birthday party. Not sure why looking back now- but I remember being really overwhlemed that everything was perfect!!

You have beautiful girls and I love the tractors.
I was extremly stress out at the boys first birthday. We had WAY to many people and it took the grill a long time to heat up so we had cake first! The boys birthday is also 5 days after Christmas so making sure all the decorations were down and the house clean added to it.

Those were great pictures Brandy! Maybe the girls didn't tear into the cakes because they are so darn cute (the cakes and your girls)! I love the individual cakes.. and the detail of the sandals!

I remember being stressed out too. But, not that everything had to be perfect... just about how many people I had in my house. And I had my MIL and FIL there and they were divorced for a while and didn't get along.

Brandy - those cakes were amazing! Your friend did an incredible job. The girls looked absolutely precious and of course you know that I LOVE your husband's outfit!!

 

lol.. my girls have the same dresses..but in a bigger size. We got our girls smash cakes too for thier first birthday.We set them and the cakes in the middle of MIL's dinning table, was a total mess but the girls had fun and way too much cake...although they probably got more on them then in them..lol. Glad you guys had a Happy first Birthday.

Soooo sweet! What beautiful cakes (and birthday girls too!!)!! My dd didn't want to touch her cake AT ALL, so she dove in head first and ate it like Ralphy's little brother on A Christmas Story. We laughed so hard and kept calling her Mommy's little piggy
