Finished sewing my crib set!

So i finally managed to sit down and work on the crib set for the twins (we're doing a pirate theme). They're starting in the same crib, so I figured I'd at least get one done. Here's the pics, lemme know what you think:

Great work and I HIGHLY suggest getting the other one done too (and anything else you'll EVER need done LOL) before the babes arrive tho. Otherwise, it won't be done til they're 30 years old

Oh my gosh, how freaking cute is that! I thought I was pretty crafty, but I don't think I could make anything a nice as those - they look like you just pulled them off a shelf at some high end store!

When we found out it was 2 boys, our DD insisted we do pirates (we're kind of a piratey family anyway). I'm generally not too fond of the store crib sets and kinda do things my own way anyway, so off to the fabric store we went (i had done fairies for DD and noah's ark for DS). We've got little pirate piggie banks already and are slowly getting things put together. Its fun! I do a little seam-stressing on the side, so unfortunately i have a couple orders for a ballet studio to complete before i can do anymore work on the twin's stuff.

Ditto to this as well. They are so cute, but the other crib will end up with a store bought set if you wait until after they are born.

That is amazing. You are very lucky to be that talented. Your babies will cherish this all the lives.
My son is 20 yrs old and he has all the homemade blankets his grandma's made him packed up and ready to use when him a his fiance decide to have kids someday.

We haven't gotten as many funny looks from people that know us well, but some do think its odd until they see what we are doing. Fabric depot is the BIG fabric store in our area where i found all the fabric and the fabric i got is baby pirates by Fabri. They actually had a couple of different pirate looks to choose from, but i settled on this one because i loved the bright colors (the other was pirate bears and was more pastel). They have a pirate store not too far away from us where we found "surrender the booby" bibs. Lemme know how your hunt goes! If ya know where you look you really can find some cute stuff.

That looks amazing! You did a great job! Very talented, my mom made my crib set when my boys were born. It's nice to have something handmade that you can keep for memories.
