I was looking at finger paint options on Amazon, and there are many different brands with both good and bad reviews - and many that have no reviews at all. So I thought I'd come here for some recommendations. Give me all your finger paint reviews - good and bad. Thanks!

quick and easy one, and for bathtime only--- 1/3 cup liquid dish soap (they say to use clear, but I used an orange color and it worked fine), 1 TB cornstarch, mixed together, and food coloring and let them go at it!
Maybe not good for quicks with real sensitive skin, but mine were fine. They rubbed it all over the tub, and I washed it off with the hose and a cloth when they were done, and my shower sparkled!
I know there's more, but that's the one I have from memory and experience!

My sitter uses washable, non-toxic glitter paint pens. This was she can control the amount that comes out of the tip and its a little less messy than finger paint. Its still an outdoor only activity. I almost bought crayola finger paint yesterday so I am interested to see if others liked it.

I had washable tempra paint. I think crayola makes some and roseart. Just use a paper plate or plastic plate as a pallet for the paint. For younger kids, yogurt and pudding are kind of fun. They get to smear it all over paper and if they lick their fingers, no biggie. We had a daycare provider that did that. My dd thought it was great.

We do the Crayola paint. The cleanup is SO easy. It wipes right off of the lawnchairs and table (we only do this outside) as well as the kids. It does take some time to dry since we tend to use a lot, so I tape up the paper on the back door for a couple of days. I bet it will dry faster since we've lost some of the humidity here.

It does! It's called wonder color - or something like that. I've seen it in most stores - K-mart, walmart, even drug stores. I bought some for my girls and they enjoyed it.(even though Carley bit the tip off one of the markers!) (she has since learned NOT to eat markers and crayons....) Edit*** oops sorry - you said finger paints - and know about the markers... my bad - I have NOT seen the special finger paints that work this way... neat - I will have to check it out.... sorry

The Crayola Color Wonders Finger Paints are nice but really greasy!! It is hard to get the grease out of things.

We use the Crayola washable finger paint. I just put a little on the paper and it washes off them and the floor easy, we use it on the dining room floor only.

Crayola color wonder finger paint! I haven't seen it in stores though. I wonder whats in it and how expensive the fancy paper is.

Let me just save you the trouble on the Color Wonder stuff.......It's basically like vaseline (but not greasy, think texture) and NEVER DRIES!!! So, if you don't care that you can't keep their masterpieces - try it. But the other thing is they DIG it ALL OUT you might get two uses out of it at that rate. I would just get anything else washable and go for it with regular paints. I hate my fingerpaints and I got the HUGE box from Sam's club that I am thinking of donating to their school!! I don't like that it never dries!! :(

We use watercolors sometimes and they end up finger painting with those.... also big stamp pads (washable and wonderful)!!! Very fun!

If you are looking for something for them to play with, instead of finger paint, use shaving cream--it has the added benefit of cleaning the table :) Another easy to clean up option is chocolate pudding--that way you don't have to worry about them eating it :)
