Hi... I need some suggestions on what to give my just turned 1 year olds.

My daughter is still having a little hard time with finger foods. She is getting better. She has two teeth and 2 coming in. My son is a lot better chewer. It could be due to the fact that he has 4 teeth and 2 more coming in.

We have tried ravioli and tortellini. They seem to hate it.

They LOVE when I give them low-sodium chicken noodle soup. They eat it up. But I feel like I need to start giving them a little something different.
They seem to LOVE frozen peas or any frozen veggie (green beans - although my daughter has a little trouble with it, carrots, etc).

For breakfast, french toast is a hit with my son. Pancakes are hit and miss with my son. Eggs are hit and miss with my son. My daughter doesn't care much for any of these and would prefer her rice cereal and fruit.

Yogurt isn't liked either and I believe they both - especially my daughter - have an allergy to whole milk which we just started this week.

I have tried other fruit besides banana and it seems to be too hard for them.

    Suggestions greatly appreciated.

I used to cook up sphagetti noodles for them. They used to love it. They also loved playing with it. I used to chop up apple chunks for them (no peels). They always loved that.

    Other ideas:

    Yogurt raisens
    goldfish
    toast (cut up)
    shredded cheese (DD favorite)
mandarin oranges (no seeds)(easy to chew)
    cheerios

those are all I can think of off hand.

    Good luck

A few things my girls ate at that age:

*crackers: we have a verity wheat Ritz, club, gold fish, gram
on the crackers peanut butter or cream cheese
    *yogurt
*fruit: raspberries, blueberries, mango, pineapple, apples (most I would purrae still)
*Kraft mac and cheese: expect a mess
*Chopped up over cooked squares of potato
    *over cooked carrots
*Out of a can non salted veggies, mostly green beans and peas

Hope you can find something they like out of this list, good luck.

    -Eggo whole wheat pancakes
    -Wheat toast with apple butter
    -Grilled cheese on wheat
    -Grape jelly on wheat

Just try to keep the pieces small and soft. I'm sure you know this already! :p

    Hi there,

Mine are a big fan of the Gerber Graduates:
    Pasta pick ups (spin/cheese)
    Cheese crackers
    Little Crunchies

Mine also love all fruit but these are the favs:
    blueberries (cut them in half)
    watermelon (seedless)
    mandarin oranges (pre-packaged, no seeds)
    diced pears

    Snacks:
    goldfish and cheerios

I buy the deli roasted herb chicken at the market. It is really moist and shreds great. It makes enough for 4 meals between the two of them.

Black beans are a HUGE hit with mine. I put them in a strainer and rinse the "juice" off and my kids pop them like they are M&M's!

Mine do pancakes for breakfast but we still do the rice cereal every once in a while, so don't feel badly about that.

    HTH!

I'm sorry, but I got a little disgusted. I'm happy for those who have kids, but I'm even happier for myself that I don't have kids and I can eat my favourite food in peace and quiet.

Even though we're on a forum for mums right now, I couldn't agree with you more. I love my childfree life. It's also cool that I have an interest in new food and new products. Have you heard of the Gourmet Food Store? There's unique assortment of cheese made from sheep milk for sale here, and I especially recommend it if you're a fan of quality and authentic cheeses.

I recently became a mother and now my priority is the quality nutrition of my baby. If someone is looking for a proven store with baby food, I wholeheartedly recommend the Mamovita store, where you will not only find quality baby food, but also maternity products, as well as beauty and health products :)
