So the boys haven't been eating as much, we assume bc they are sick. Of course they will eat cookies, fruit strips, dried fruit, ect. So do I just give that to them? They are drinking plenty of milk (some with Carnation), water, and juice. Most of their snacks are the Gerber snacks so I know they are at least getting some whole grains if they want "cheeto puffs" but I don't want to make this a habit and have them crying for it all the time!!!

    What do i do??? Thanks:)

 I'm sorry they are sick and not eating well!! During those times I fed them whatever they would eat, I think mine have lived off a puffs or goldfish for days at a time LOL. I would keep trying other foods but make sure they are getting plenty of milk and the carnation milk is great when they are having an off day with no veggies or fruits.
I hope they are feeling better soon!

If you know they are definitely sick, then I´d just let them eat what they want but still offer the usual food/the food you´d like them to eat. I do the same. Giving them milk is good too (I dont know what Carnation milk is) and keep them hydrated with water or a sports-type drink for babies that has salts and minerals. Once they are well, you can go back to your old eating habits - they will soon adapt. Hope they get better soon.

I agree with the previous posters, when mine are sick, I still offer the regular foods but will also give them what they are willing to eat. I make sure they have plenty of fluids (milk, water and pedialyte) as well. Once they are better, you can get back in the normal routine of eating.

My boys just got over this really bad cold and were barely eating ... although they would eat crackers (ritz, goldfish, etc.) like they were going out of style. I was just glad they were eating something. My thought was I'll deal with the tempers and fighting for crackers when they were better, then. I did still offer reg food but they just wanted the crackers. As they started feeling better they would eat little bits of what I was cooking i.e. grilled cheese, chix noodle soup ... foods that were "light" on the stomach and foods they usually always eat. And I really didn't find that I had to fight too much to get them back into eating the regular food. I hope your LO's feel better soon!

I agree with PPs and don't worry about bad habits. They're sick, and at least they're eating. :)

DH and I still fondly remember "sick food" that our parents only gave us when we were ill. For him it was grapes and sherbet, for me it was saltines and grape juice/ginger ale. We still buy them when we're sick and it's very comforting! :D
