I go on the 20th for my next appt. I will be about 15 1/2 weeks pregnant. Will that be too early to tell?

    Thanks!

It might not be too early to tell, but I don't think I would really trust it at that point. But, it would at least be fun to get your tech to guess!

Ok, I just fixed my signature. I didn't realize I had put my DD birth year as 2007! She was born in 2005 and my new due date is May 10th, not the 15th! Too much going on!

Looks good. You can create a ticker through a site like lilypie.com (can click on my ticker and it will take you there), you can have 2 tickers in your siggy, if you do that copy the BBC code and paste it in your signature (when under my controls). If you want to that is. :)

My doctor would not even bother looking for the genders at 16 weeks even, we had to wait until 20 weeks..

We found out at 19 weeks. I believe if they are boys, sometimes they can tell earlier (though probably not as early as 15 weeks), but they won't say for sure until 19-20 weeks or so.

I have this fun calendar that tells you the baby’s development each day… and it says on week 15 day 4 “Baby’s sex is distinguishable now. If you have an ultrasound it is possible to detect the baby’s gender this early.”
I happen to have my high risk u/s on that exact day in my baby’s development… so I kind of hope its true… :good:

We found out at 16 weeks but I wouldn't bet on anything at this point. Ours were confirmed at 19 weeks and then we registered for a few things. They were then confirmed several times after that and we then started buying things.

Some time back i posted a similar qu...i think boys are more easily distinguished early.

My tech couldnt tell at 16wks(hand in the way, and other one not in right position), at 17+5 she thought they both looked like girls, at 19+6 confirmed ...no dangly bits,...GIRLS!!

Good luck...and yes i feel you...the wait it awful!!

I just had a heartbeat u/s at my last appt and the dr checked, but said it was kind of early still. All she told us was, 'I don't see any sticky-out parts. Might be girls.' That still gives us a little hope that it 'might' be boys too. lol
