My girls are finally starting to add consonants...instead of bie for bite...I am hearing biTe, and eat. And they are starting to make 3+ word sentences. Especially Maddie, but she has always been slightly ahead of Gracie. Yesterday she was throwing a fit and wouldn't cooperate while I was trying to buckle her in her carseat. I told her we were going to Pepaw and Nanna's house and she was kicking and said, "no my not" So thats not anything to brag about...fit wise, but I was shocked that she said that to me. She told Gracie yesterday, as she saw a pig on tv, "that a pig, sissy." Today I heard, "i want drink. more drink" Gracie always falls right in behind Maddie, so I'm sure we will be hearing similar things out of her soon. It just really makes me realize that my babies aren't babies anymore

So whats everyone's babies doing that they are proud of?

Yay girls! 3 word sentences are great!

It's funny you said that about the consonants. For some reason (probably because in my attempts to enunciate clearly, I hit the ending consonants REALLY hard) my girls are big on those. It's maP, naP, maT, haT, etc. Imagine saying the "p" and "t" sounds and blowing a tiny puff of air behind them, and you can picture how hard they hit 'em. Cracks me up.

My girls are cracking me up hourly with the new stuff they are learning. On Saturday when I walked in, Lilly said "Morning!" to me. Then she heard the shower going, and said "Dada? Work?" I told her "No, it's Saturday. Daddy doesn't have to go to work - he's going to play with us all day." She said "Yay!" and started applauding. So cute!

Of course, just to make sure I don't think they are TOO smart... this afternoon, one of them wanted to look out the window over the sofa so of course the other had to, too. My Dad was over and said "Monkey see, Monkey do." They spend the rest of the afternoon intermittently looking at the same window and saying "Monkey? Monkey?"

That is great news!!! I can't wait until my two can say more words like that. WTG girls!! Mine are still a little slow on the talking front since they were preemies, but I did have a speech observation for them and they don't qualify so I guess that is good.

We are starting to use a spoon and it is going pretty well.

Well mine are older, and we have been potty training and Katelyn has only had about 5 accidents since we started training 2 weeks ago. She is doing awesome and I am so proud of her!! :)

Blake on the other had retains things like you would not believe. So lately he is correcting me on the proper names of different trucks, trains and anything transportation! He amazes me sometimes! Oh and he is counting to 25 with no mistakes. :)

Amy is all about verbs right now -- drive, carry, hold, push, share (!), drink, ride.... It's amazing how many more things you can say when you start using verbs!

Sarah is talking more and more, but is still almost completely unintelligible. However, she is way into using the potty. She pooped twice on the potty today! Well OK, she pooped twice on the floor next to the potty -- but I figure that counts -- she just hasn't figured out that you can't stand up while pooping. :D

Maddie started the potty training thing all on her own about one month ago and it lasted about a week and a half. She did really well in that time, but then she just kinda quit. She tells me all the time she needs to poo poo or tee tee, but then doesn't want to stay on the potty and go. They both tell me after they have pooped, so I guess we are at least moving in the right direction for potty training.
