Hello, everyone. This site was recommended to me by a few moms on another board that I'm a member of so I've been reading over here for a little bit.

I got a call from my mw's office when I was 9w3d saying that they got my labwork back and my hcg levels were unusually high, so they wanted me to come in for an exam that day. They were checking for either multiples or a molar pregnancy, of which I knew I didn't have the latter (intuition, you know?). She went to check my uterus and said I was measuring about 3-4 wks ahead. She pulled out the doppler, found a heartbeat in the upper left corner, then went down to the bottom left corner and heard another one. My eyes lit up in fear (I was by myself--DH was working!), she told me not to freak out bc it could be the same baby, and then we headed to u/s. The second she put the transducer on my abdomen, two little buggers showed up! I've been here ever since :)

We originally thought they might be momos, so I went back in at 10w2d and they discovered that they are mo/di. I was of course very relieved, however I am still extremely nervous due to the risks involved. I have two other children, a DS who's 4 1/2 and a DD who's going to be 2 next month. I delivered both at 38wks. I am a nursing student who graduates in May, and I'm due the middle of June. Without going into too much detail regarding school, this last semester is not like a typical one so it will actually be over sooner than May (but graduation will still be the same time). I was on bedrest with DD at 30wks due to PTL, so carrying two is a bit nervewracking to say the least.

I'm scared, nervous, excited, scared, nervous...lol. I've always wanted 4 children, but DH only gave in for sure to 3. So, I guess it's best that we're having two now bc I don't know that I would have been able to convince him to have a fourth! Plus, I've always wanted to be a young parent and done before 35, and I'll be 32 in about a week, so this means I can get my breast reduction sooner ;)

I'm nervous about bfing two, I'm nervous about the finances (we have to get a new car now--a CRV won't hold 4 carseats!), I'm nervous about the exhaustion. But I'm thrilled to be fortunate enough to have been blessed with two babies at once, in addition to the two that we already have. I'm scared of having identicals bc I'm afraid I won't be able to tell them apart. Silly, I know, but I really am afraid of that. I'm happy that we'll have a complete family after this. I'm kind of sad that I'll never get the baby stage again like I would with a 4th pg (we are DONE after this, lol!). I guess I'm just all over the place! Overall, though, I really am excited and looking forward to this journey.

Thanks for letting me ramble--hope I didn't bore you!

Hi Danielle, love your name!

Congrats on the dual blessing! We were ttc #3 as well and were blessed with 2 more, quick and "hopefully" easy way to get my 4 babies! :D

I have all those same fears, had to get a bigger vehicle, and now double the carseats, beds...etc. I hope it's normal! lol
