Finally have answers

I had a ct scan Monday and my gp called just before with the results. Endometriosis and benign tumors on my liver. I see my gyno this afternoon and her tomorrow. Not sure how to feel

 

:hug: Code. Thanks for updating us. I am glad you have some answers and I hope the doctors now have a plan in place to help you out. How did the gyno appointment go?

 

I have surgery tomorrow a exploratory laposcopy and hetroscopy to determine how bad it is. depending how badly I have endometriosis ill have another in a few weeks as my gyno wants to be the one to do it.

Thanks Bex, it is good to have a idea of what is going on. Ill let you guys know how it goes tomorrow when I get home. will most likely post on fb so if any of you guys see them please feel free to post in here.

Colossal waste of time. was cancelled. now the waiting game of when it will happen.

It was the anesthesiologist who cancelled the surgery yesterday. Reason being my gyno put me on the emergency list not gyno list and the hospital only had two lots of cloting factors which have to be kept in the ER for emergencies. So they need to order it in for me as it needs to be done so long before the surgery where on the emergency list you get bumped unlike gyno list they have a timeframe your surgery will be. Still disappointed it didn't happen yesterday but at least I understand why it didn't now. Looks like it will be done next week or the week after. Until then there is nothing they can do for me but keep up the pain killers.

 

How frustrating! I'm sorry you have to deal with that on top of everything else and the pain. :hug:

 

Looks like surgery is scheduled for the 6th at 1pm. Just called my gynos office to see if they had heard anything regarding it and the hospital called them on Friday to offer that time/day for him to do it which the ladies accepted as my gyno is in Fiji until the 3rd so will confirm everything on the 4th. looks like 9 more days of agony.

 

Surgery looks set to go tomorrow seeing as it is 1am here, pain induced insomnia. Had pre op blood work done yesterday morning to see my clotting profiles, though due to the high dose hormones I am on they won't be truthful. Have to go see my gp in the morning to get more antibiotics as I still have an infection a month on from the last surgery. Kind of getting very nervous about tomorrow. Hopefully I will soon have my life back, though my gp has warned me this may not be the cause of pain. Please hope it doesn't get cancelled again for my sanity

I have a good feeling it won't be cancelled as my gp called theater this morning and i am on my gynos list. Don't have to be at the hospital until 11am. Laying in bed with a dvd and hoping to have an early night and a sleep in. So happy to see Mum tomorrow she is coming up early. I'll update how it goes tomorrow.

4 ibuprofens, 2 panadeine fortes and a endone in the last 4ish hours. Isn't even taking the edge off. Having a high tolerance to medications is annoying.

 

Yesterday went well, my gyno told me before going into surgery that if they find endometriosis he would close up and come up with a plan of attack. looks like another surgery will be coming up. in a lot of pain today though, very swollen down at my parents house, laying in bed.

I fell down the stairs before doubt that is helpful agony now. back to the gyno Thursday.

 

Are you starting to feel better now?

 

Sadly not still very swollen around my lower abdomen and really sore around the areas i have stitches. I think it hurts more then it should seeing as i fell down the stairs.
