Unless I go into labor before then, I am scheduled for my c-section for Jan. 7 at 7:30 a.m.!!!! That will put me at 38 weeks 3 days. THANK GOD!!

I still haven't started to dilate any but I am beginning to efface, so at least that's something. Last week my cervix was 4.5 cm long, and today it was just under 3 cm long. So, at least my body has begun to make some kind of change. I now have SOME hope to maybe go into labor before my scheduled c-section. If one more person says, "I can't believe you're still pregnant!", I'm going to hit them REALLY HARD! :)

It has been 4 weeks since they have been able to get any kind of accurate weight measurement on the girls, as there just is no more room in my belly for the sonographer to measure each part necessary to get a weight on each baby. That is a little disconcerting, since there is no way to tell if they are having any growth issues. But I guess the doctor knows what he's doing. He's delivered over 5,000 babies and specializes in high risk pregnancy, so I do trust him.

Baby A is squished down in the lower left (head down) of my belly, and Baby B is transverse/oblique with her head under the left side of my chest. Pretty much the same as they've been for the past month and a half. My doc hasn't been too concerned though because he's been planning to do a c-section all along.

Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble on. I'm just so excited to finally have a "no later than" date for the c-section--a goal to shoot for. I really needed that.

Oh, and Sunday I went off of the terbutaline pump that I'd been on for almost 2 months, so now on top of everything, I am contracting like CRAZY!!!

Woohoo!! Great news (other than contracting like crazy ;)). And yeah, I can see how it would be a little disconcerting to not be able to get their measurements, but I'm glad you have such an experienced doctor.

So glad the end is in sight for you! I just scheduled my induction today for 1/6 so it looks like you and I might have back-to-back babies! :) (Though it would be cool if we both go into labor before then. :))
