Fills his mouth up with milks/juice and then dribbles it all down his shirt

Jakes has been doing this more and more lately. He'll fill his mouth up with milk/juice and then will let it fall all down his chin onto his shirt. There have been times when I take him out of the car seat and his shirt is soaking wet. Milk it the worst because after awhile he smells. :bad:

For some reason, neither of them will drink milk out of their sippies in their chairs. They might take a sip or two but that's about it. They only time I will give them milk is in their chair or in their play area because I can wipe it up. The rest of the house is off limits because I don't want sour milk all over the place.

Josh also started joining in but with food. At least they are in their chairs with a bib on when that happens.

Just the other day I was thinking back to when they would blow rasberries. That seems like ages ago so I hope this will soon be a thing of the past.

Oh, I hear ya! My two are doing the exact same thing for the past week or so. It's making me crazy. I came home from running errands this afternoon and Karina was completely soaked through two layers (she was wearing a little sunsuit that has an extra layer of fabric on the front) of clothing from neck to waist. I asked DH how it happened and he said it must be drool. She is my drooler, but it was way too much for that. I looked at her 9 oz. sippy cup in the fridge which was full when I left and there was only about 2 ounces left. She normally only drinks about an ounce with her snack so that means 5-6 ounces of milk were dribbled down her front. It's really annoying. When I notice it happening I tell her no and take away the cup. Other than that, I have no suggestions for you, but you can know that I definitely sympathize.

We went thru this, but only with water sippies. I just told them no and took the sippie away. They both eventually stopped. I hope yours is a short lived phase too.

Yep Ellie does this - he thinks it's hilarious! He is doing it less now though!

Ours went through a short phase of doing this, it was super annoying. DH and I did the same as Leighann and took the sippies away and said no.

Same here. It was annoying, and we had a longer phase of Jacob doing this with foods - chewing them up and then letting them dribble out. It's one of those explorational behaviors, but it sure is annoying!

As soon as I notice it, I take the sippy away. I'm curious to see what happens today. I went out to dinner last night with DH's family and Jake was squirting the juice out of his mouth and was having a good old time. Everyone was cracking up and encouraging him to do it more.

I just love it when people who have older kids of their own or grandkids always think it so funny for them to do these things while I'm left with cleaning up the mess. On Saturday DH's family came over and Josh started to climb on the coffee table. All of a sudden I hear "oh look he's trying to climb on the coffee table....laugh". As soon as I heard and seen it I told him "no climb" and he got off. They thought it was soooooo cute but I knew that if I allowed him once to do it, he'd be climbing on it every day.

My kids do this with food - gross. They've been doing it since they were about 8 months old and 10 months later, still doing it!
This wouldn't totally solve your problem but at least while they're eating, we have had really good luck with the Kiddopotamus rubber pocket bibs. Heres a LINK. Added bonus, no velcro so they can't pull them off!

My husband can't stand with our toddlers do this! I just gave up and didn't dress them nicely ever it seemed or kept them in just a diaper while eating or drinking. I didn't think there was the common thread of "exploration" here. Interesting!

DD sometimes does this and I take the sippy cup away with a firm "no, we don´t do that" However, we´re at the throwing-on-the-floor stage mainly!
