My advice...prepare to leave the house, go to bed, etc a half hour in advance. LOL. The girls only wear diapers for naps and bedtime, and they still fight me. Peyton especially can wriggle her bdy over no matter how hard I try to keep her in place. They also think it's great fun to run away naked and hide in a corner.

yup us too..the minute either kids diaper is off its like someone lit a firecracker - they're off...last week my son pissed on the front door and my daughter crapped in a corner! I just keep laughing because if I don't I'll scream my head off!

Nick threw his first "getting dressed/changed" tantrum on his first birthday. He (and Joe) have thrown a mini-fit at EVERY change since that day.

I change them on the floor with one of my legs thrown over their waist. After doing that for about a week I still throw my leg over their waist, but don't actually hold them down with my leg...they still think they're pinned even though my leg isn't actually touching them.

I try to do silly things during changes like sing their favorite songs or talk to them in a silly voice, or say the alphabet, count, anything to distract them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes I'm impatient/tired and just decide I don't care if they scream.

Have you tried changing their diapers standing up. I know it gets interesting but that is pretty much the only way my son will let me and his sisters where like that too. Yes you do have to still lay them down for poop but at least 80% of the time its better. As for the changing clothes I have no advice. LOL!!!

Ohhhhh .... I am soooo there! They fight everything. Clothing changes - take of their shirts and they run. Take a diaper out and they run.

We have a fence in front of the TV so they don't attack it and I will put on a video and get them to stand in front of the fence. That seems to distract them enuf for a diaper change and even perhaps a clothing change.

I know, sometimes it is so exhausting!!!

I had a nurse at the optometrist tell me that I just need to 'set the rules'. Figured she never had kids.

SOMETIMES that works. If I have amovie on or something, and they are REALLY into it, then, yeah they will stay still.

I find this hysterical that she seems you can set rules for everything for 2 year olds. Tell her to come over for a day!!!! I have tried the pinning down thing...it used to work, and now they are getting stronger. Plus, being PG isnt helping, and being 8 mos pregnant, is worse!!
