fifth disease

I was worry because my daughter got the fifth disease a few weeks ago. When I went the ped, and he said that she had the fifth disease, he said for I talk with the OB because it could be dangerous for the babies. So I call the OB, since I have my genetic counselor and the sonogram/blood work in the next day, my OB advice me for I tell her about that, and they should make extra blood work to check for fifth disease, well the nurse forget to do it bacause in the next week I went to my high risk appointement and the doctor she didn't has any information about that. So finally today I got the negative result!!!!!
I was so worried, I didn't sleep so well at night just thinking that something could be wrong!

That's awesome that you are safe! My nephew had fifth disease, it was no fun for him or my sister in law. I hope your daughter is doing better!

 

So glad you are safe. :hug: But I know it's hard not to worry. When I was pregnant with my oldest DD fifth's disease was going around the elem. school I was teaching at and I was very worried about getting it.

This was something that I never heard and probably, I didn't care but when I let my daughter at the babysitter, she asks me if she has that disease, and I ask her what disease was that. They call slapping face and my daughter was the face a little bit red, but She didn't has any fever so I was not worried, but then I search in the net and see it could be dangerous for me, so that's why I took her to the ped.
