for the last week or so I have been having spouts of nauea and occasionally to the point of throwing up, also has alot of diarhea. I've also been getting really shaky and light headed like you feel when you havent eaten but if I laydown and take a nap it goes away....(to bad I cant always laydown if I'm at work=() Also some BH here and there, but the OB wasnt concerned unless I have 5 in an hour.

So yesterday afternoon we were all sitting down to eat at mom's for easter, when I just got this really weird feeling i cant explain, but it passed in a couple minutes and I ate and felt ok till about 30 minutes after we ate I was laying on the couch and I started getting these horrible back pains and light cramping sorta like I feel with my period. I was worried it was contractions but was steady unless I moved around it continued to hurt, and if I moved positions it only stopped for a second and then started as soon as I fell into the position. We went home so I could try to be more comfy but it was a rough night of tossing and turning. I have my regular OB apt. this afternoon (they had cancelled it on thursday as usual and I am praying it doesn't get cancelled again) (these damn OB's....LOL) I am sitting at my desk now and the pains have returned and my back feels like it may break,,,, I usually dont feel like this till an hour or two before the days over and I just got here 30 min ago :(

I just filled my water bottle and will be chugging all day till I my OB tells me whats up.

Any ideas or advise?.....I dont really no what a contraction feels like so I dont know if thats a possibility, but the pains pretty steady not like every such and such minutes. And Its not the type of pain were I cant move it just hurts but not excrusiating.

Ugh I assume all the discomfort will just be geeting worse before it gets better at this point :( But at least I can feel them squirming away in there :D

I would definitely try to take it as easy as you can. Drink the water like you are doing. What time is your appointment? I would call them when they open, let them know what's going on and see if they want you to come in any earlier.

I never went into labor, but some of the stuff you are describing sounds like what we were told were pre-term labor signals.

Agreed. Please call your doc as soon as possible or go to L & D.

Yes, I agree! Call your doc. It's not worth the risk of not getting yourself checked!

The way you are describing the pain feels a lot like when I was in labor with the twins. I would just call and say you don't feel right...they should take you immediately. It may just be pg pains but I would double check.

    Sorry this is going on.

But I would definitely be concerned and call the Hospital if you DR is not showing the concern you think you deserve.

    I hope everything works out.

But try to keep thinking positive.....

At your appt. definitely tell your DR that signs like this you would like to be seen immediately.

Being completely honest with your DR is the best way to be so he knows how to treat you better.

I went to the doc. yesterday.... and I am kind of aggrivated now.... he seems so laxidasic about things! He did check my cervix and was like well its up high and closed so everythings fine just stay hydrated since you've been throwing up and had diahrea. I mean cant I be contracting and have no change to my cervix...YET? I dont know I guess I just expected him to be a bit more concerned concidering I am only 27/28 weeks.....I mean he didn't even try to monitor it to make sure it was nothing.

Maybe yesterday was just a bade apt. but I seriously left there thinking I want to change OB offices. The nurse was really nice for once but when she was taking my blood pressure she mentioned it was a bit high, but my OB wasn't concerned about it at all. Then it just feels like he thinks a twin pregnancy is the same as a singleton because he doesn't seem concerned at all about the braxton hicks I have from working, he sounds so suprised that I'm mesuring out about a month....Isn't that normal with twins? Then when I was leaving the check out lady was extremely rude and was like well you know you owe $150 for a maternity fee, I said that does't sound right I have tufts (granted not the greatest insurance) and also MassHealth as a secondary which covers everything....I've never paid any copays or anything with masshealth as a secondary even with my son's pregnancy. She was like oh well its written here so how much are you putting towards it today. I said nothing I'll call my insurance first she rolled her eyes as I was walking out. I have the extra money on my health care reimburment plan that I have to use by the time I stop working or I loose it (i plan to stay home with the babies..Daycare's way to expensive for 3) but I want to fight the charge more than anything because of her attitude! Ugh I don't know maybe I was just in a bad mood yesterday because I was so nervous but now I'm heading into my third trimester thinking about switching OB's....Is that even possible?

On the positive side the pains have pretty much stopped I felt it once last night and for a quick second this morning but nothing like yesterday morning...I guess all the fluids are helping, I was throwing up in the middle of the night and pretty shaky this morning but I am going for that one hour sugar test tomorow so we'll see if that results in anything. And I see my Peri next week so I'll be explaining it all to him too.

Thank You for all your concern!!!!!!!! It Means Alot.......I Love this Site!!!!!!!! :grouphug:

Sounds like you had a scary episode, and I am sorry your doctor was not more concerned. They sound a bit more like they're worried about getting paid than making sure you're ok. Rest up.. put your feet up as much as you can and make sure that you're feeling better! If you have any more pains or anything, I'd be calling the doctor again.. harass them until they pay attention! I also don't see anything wrong with switching OB's if you're having concerns.. the third trimester is where everything happens, so you have to be comfortable!

First off, I'm so glad you're okay! Second, I'm a firm believer of trusting your gut. If your gut told you yesterday that things weren't right with this Dr., I'd switch. Maybe your Peri can recommend someone that has more experience with twins. By the time I hit 28 weeks, I really only listened to my peri anyway. OB/GYN just checked my bp and answered any questions I had. All twin related stuff I went to my peri about. Luckily, my peri and ob/gyn were in the same practice and building. They even shared u/s techs and machines. Hope you are able to work things out and get the best care for you and your little ones!
