    Hi Ladies,

Most days I feel as though we have a rhythm going. I should say most days. But lately I am just cranky. I feel like a two year old that wants to drop to the floor and thump my legs on the ground. It may sound silly but honestly that's how I feel.

My kids turn 7 months old this thursday! They are capable of sleeping through the night b/c they've done it before. Not regularly but here or there. DS slept nearly 11 hours without waking the other night and he's the one that we've spoiled over the early months b/c of his reflux and who needs rocking, music, milk etc. to go to sleep. Then last night we have a two hour session of screaming, where no milk, rocking, or anything seemed to soothe him. DD sleeps in another room b/c they wake eachother. She waited until I was exhausted with DS and finally went to bed to wake up and talk/scream for another 1.5 hours. Nothing I did seemed to quiet her down either.

I've tried leaving DS to cry for ~15 min and do the pick-up, put-down method, the soothing method, the just leave him method but he just cries harder. I am at my wits end.

DD if left to her own devices can be up talking/screaming for hours too.

So what to I do now? I know I am lucky that they go to bed at ~6:45-7pm and usually sleep soundly until anywhere from 2-4 am and then the fun begins.

I am getting very irritable with both and I don't like the feeling.

Don't you love when they just start waking at night after sttn soundly?!?! My first guess-teething. If I tried all of what you did-and nothing worked, I would have gone straight for the tylenol/motrin. In fact-this happened to Annabella last week. She has been sttn for a few months now. Suddenly she woke and cried and would not calm down. I finally gave her some tylenol, and she went back to sleep. And a few days later-there was that pesky little tooth! You just never know!

    I know the feeling!!

oh, i'm so sorry! The sleep thing is so horrible, i know how you feel. I had an issue with Luke crying at night at one point, I took him to the doctor and it turned out he had an ear infection. It's so hard to know!

I think Meaghan could be on to something with the teething possibility. Mine started teething at around 7 months and it really plays havoc with their sleeping. I would second the Motrin suggestion to see if that could be what is causing the nighttime fussiness.
