    Hi guys,

I'm sure this has been asked a billion times before on this site, but is it normal to feel one baby move a lot more than the other? I'm 28 weeks pregnant now and feeling one of my babies (the one on the right) a ton, but the one on the left rarely (mostly when I lie down at night and even then very subtley). I know there are many reasons that this could be the case (placenta placement, baby position etc), but of course, I'm a little worried! Has anyone else had this experience?

    Thanks!

Try not to worry, sweetie. I felt Caroline CONSTANTLY and Gwen moved so, so much less. As long as both babies are moving, full stop, it itsn't unusual to feel one more than both. And it may give you a heads up on thier personality. Even outta me, Caz is a kicker, and has the attitude. Gwen's general attitude is...."Meh. Not so much, Ma."

    :D

Hang in there, best of luck! It's natural to worry about these things, but I assure you it was the same for me!

I'm right there beside you worrying! Last night I tried my darndest to figure out who was moving - it doesn't help yet that I'm only 22wks (only! LOL) and they are changing positions - so I have no clue where they actually ARE!

Same thing here. Baby on the right moves a LOT more than baby on the left. I don't think that it is anything to worry about though. On my weekly ultrasounds, they are both moving around a lot, but I can only feel the one most of the time.

Very normal! But of course, you can always bring it up to your OBGYN. I mentioned it to my ultrasound tech b/c my Natalie (Baby B and on my left) I felt all the time...she was quite the kicker and mover! But I only felt my Alyse subtly and then sometimes more when I laid down (although, once I felt her kick fest after I ate a big piece of wedding cake!) My ultrasound tech attributed it to their position. Baby B's extremities pointed towards my tummy whereas Baby A's extremities were to my back.

Yes, I felt one more than the other, turned out it was due to the placenta being in front of one of them. I know it's hard not to worry about it though.

Thanks you guys. I seems pretty common I guess. Also, the kicking is my favorite part of this pregnancy (almost feels like communication), so I wish they were both doing it. I know that's odd...

I always felt baby B (Allison) more than Baby A (Sarah). I think it was just the way they were positioned in the womb. My husband always said that Sarah had the catbird seat, she didn't need to fight for position so no need for her to move, she had it made. Allison, on the other hand, was always having to fight for somewhere comfortable, so maybe that's your situation?? Allison to this day is my energetic child, while Sarah is my laid back one. So, maybe, too, it's just their personality. Try not to worry!

I feel Baby B much much more then baby A. I say that Ella (baby B) is going to be a wild one, and Cali (baby A) is going to be the milder one...since she isnt beating on mom too much. haha.

Seriously though, Baby B, is on top, so she has all the room in the world to move, I think Baby A cant move as much.

After every ultrasound, Baby B has switched positions! Head up, Head down, Head up....Baby A hasnt moved once. Well maybe she has and moved back, but I doubt it.

As long as they are both moving...everything should be fine. I do make a point to make sure I feel baby A move at least some each day! But it is hard to tell as well!

I know its so hard NOT to worry about everything that seems a little off, but as pp's have said it is COMPLETELY normal to feel one more than the other. . .My DD was engaged in my pelvis early on and DS had most of the room so I always felt him more than I felt her. . . its also normal for you to not feel them move around as much as their "quarters" get more and more cramped. . . Good Luck!!

I definitely feel one definitely more than the other. The lil guy on bottom is quite the wiggle worm and is all over the place, while the lil guy on top i think is kinda wedged in place most of the time. He doesnt move as often, but when he does i feel like i get hit by a mac truck (ironically he's actually slightly smaller than his brother too).

I also feel a lot more movement on one side than the other. I'm trying not to worry about it b/c at all my ultrasounds both babies are moving around just fine.

Definitely bring it up to your OB, but add me to the list of ladies who tend to feel one baby more than the other. I think one of the babies is kicking the other one and not me, so I don't feel it! Plus, as they get bigger, there is less room for them to move around. I know that the movements I do feel are much more subtle than the hard kicks that DD gave me.

I just saw my peri this week and mentioned that I can not feel any movement on the right side - Baby B. She has more fluid than Baby A at the time, I am being watched closely and having weekly U/S. They say I can't feel her as much due to the excessive fluid.

I always felt Baby A and hardly ever Baby B--and then Baby B turned out to be the mover and shaker. He just had his back to the outside, so his sister got all the kicks. Now he moves twice as much as she does.

I feel baby b move WAY more than baby A, the ultrasound tech told me that's normal. In my case baby b is kind of on top of baby a so I only feel slight movements from baby a and baby b just doesn't stop. I wish there was a way to get their little toes out of my ribs though ;)
