    Hello-
My name is Lesley and I am 19w4d pregnant with b/g twins. I have been visiting this forum for a while now but this is the first time actually posting. So far my pregnancy has gone very well. I had quite a bit of morning sickness the first trimester, but no more then I did with my 1st pregnacy. Being in the 2nd trimester has been uneventful (thankfully) only real issues are sleeping discomforts...not complaining yet though.
I felt ALOT of movement last Saturday evening, like constant for an hour or so...it was great! But since then I have only felt a few kicks here and there (like a few kicks a few times a day) nothing consistant at all. I am wondering at what point should I start feeling things on a more regular basis and a bit stronger?
Thanks for any comments you may have for me, this forum really has been so helpful to me...being has I was in complete shock after finding out I was expecting two babies!

    Hi Lesley,

Congrats on the b/g twins! That's what I'm having too -- I'm 25 weeks today.

As for movement, I felt flutters at 17 weeks, then nothing for a few more weeks, which worried me. Then at 22 weeks, the kicks started, and they've been going strong ever since! And now my belly visibly jumps when they're really active!

So I wouldn't worry too much at not feeling much at 19 weeks. I know the books and everything tell you "18-22 weeks" but everyone is different, so don't base your pregnancy solely on that. I think a lot of it depends too on how the babies are lying in your uterus and if the placenta is between them and you.

Do you get regular ultrasounds? Even though I wasn't feeling the babies move, I always saw them moving arounds lots on u/s so that reassured me that everything was OK!

    Welcome and congrads!

I felt my babies move at 20 weeks-with each passing week their mvmts got stronger and stronger and then there were days when all seemed too quiet, so I would poke and prod until I got a kick in return-DH hated that!
As the babies grow you will feel more and more and then they slow down and mvmts change at the end again. Just remember that everyone is different and babies grow at different rates.
Good luck and enjoy those sweet little kicks! They get crazier as they get bigger!

I have already had 3 sonograms the last one was at 17w2d, I was able to see lots fo movement. My next sono is Oct. 5th and I cant wait!
I am not really worried...I just thought it was strange that I felt SO MUCH movement one evening and then nothing very consistant since, I would be worried if I felt nothing at all but like I said I get a few little jabs and flutters here and there. I am sure very soon I will be back posting that I wish they would stop abusing my ribs/bladder. But for now I am anxiously awaiting all signs a healthy pregnancy...which by the size of my belly seems to be progressing nicely.

I think my babies became more active around week 21...I feel them several times a day now, although they always sit still when someone else attempts to feel them!!

    Hi,

I'm 20 weeks pregnant, and I've been feeling my little twin boys probably since I was 19 weeks. At the beginning it was not constant at all, and not very strong. Now they seem to be kicking all the time, especially after meals or snacks. Since I eat often in the day, I feel them almost all day long. Have you been attentive in those particular moments? As for the strenght, the kicks are strong enough for me to have no doubt that it is by babies and not some digestive discomfort, but not extremely strong either.

As Lesley said, the u/s can be a good way to get reassured. For example in my case, there is a difference between my two babies, I feel baby A much more often than baby B. My DH says it must come from their position. At my last u/s both babies were very active and dping great, so I've tried not to worry too much for baby B since then and just enjoy feeling the kicks. What about your level 2 u/s (the one scheduled around 19-20 weeks)?

Good luck with your pregnancy! :)

Well I just had my last sono at 17w2d and they are doing the next one at 21w5d on Oct 5th-the last sono went really well, the girl was at 6.5oz and the boy at 7.5oz-they saw pretty much everything they needed to see and everything looked great.

:hi: Welcome to Twinstuff! Congrats on your boy/girl twins! Welcome to the b/g club! :) I started feeling movement at 20w1d. A placenta was on my belly side so I had to feel it through that! You're just over halfway there! I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well!

Hi Lesley! Welcome to TS! Congratulations on your twin pregnancy!

I first felt the twins at 14 weeks, but the movements didn't become regular until around the 20 week mark.

    Congratulations!

I felt movement really early, but had a lull from about 18 weeks until about 22. It really didn't become regular until about 24 weeks. I think feeling movement that early depends a lot on the position of the babies.
