Beginning last night I guess my M/S has kicked in. I'm not throwing up, but the nausea is just awful. I think I will go back to ACU for some relief, but are there any other ideas to help with the nausea? Thanks in Advance.

See if your doctor will prescribe you some phenergan--it was my best friend during those awful weeks of "morning" (more like all day) sickness. I could not have gotten through without it! I actually just took half a pill about 30 minutes before each meal (so I could keep my food down) and then a whole pill at bedtime (so I could sleep without having to make a beeline for the toilet in the middle of the night. Mine was really bad. Poor DH would almost get sick every time I did--he couldn't handle the sound!

But phenergan was my saving grace. Seriously. Ask your doc about it!

The best cure for me was eating. The more I ate the better I felt. I especially did well with fatty foods.

I would wake up with awful nausea and what i didn't realize was that it was partly from extreme hunger because I used to much energy just sleeping and growing the babies. DH would make me 3 pieces of toast and bring it to me before he left for work, I would eat it right after waking up and it helped A TON!

they also say a sour and salty combo helps like salty lays chips and lemonade, sounds gross but I think I tried it once and it did work a little.

    be patient, it will pass!

I took phenergan also and it was the only thing that helped. I tried all the "natural" stuff...ginger, eating before getting up, B6...and nothing worked. I threw up every day for 3 months and phenergan was my only relief.

Good luck and hope you feel better!

Thank you all so much. I will look into all of these tips. I'm not getting sick (yet), but the all day nausea is just horrible. Thanks for the tips again.

I remember feeling like I had a hangover ALL day long. The smell of greasy foods would make me feel nauseas - and when I tried to eat greasy foods: hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, etc.. I'd literally RUN to the bathroom thinking I'd throw up. Sometimes I'd just WISH I'd throw up to make me feel better.

Not a very pleasant description to add to the way you feel, but - yeah, I've been there. What made me feel better was: chewing minty gum, sucking on hard candy [I had yucky tastes in my mouth], prenatal vitamins helped out a great deal too. Also, make sure you drink LOTS of water and get pleanty of rest.

Every woman experiences pregnancy different. All in all.. listen to your body. It won't lead you astray.

    Good luck, lady!! ^_^

I read a study on Ginger root pills. The study found it to be one of the most affective things for nausea. Especially for pregnancy and motion sickness. I took it with my last pregnancy and it worked.

    Sorry you feel so icky

Oh, I had forgotten about the minty gum. That did help me when I had to go out in the mornings (I had true morning sickness). If I had an early doctor's appt, I'd chew gum until I got home and then I'd throw up. Sorry, gross, I know. But I only wanted to throw up at home because my stomache muscles would be so out of control that they would also make me wet my pants (and bathroom floor) when I threw up.

Sorry, it's not glamorous, but it does end!
