I had my first BPP today and it went great! They measured Baby B first because they figured Baby A wouldn't pass because she has an arrhythmia that they've been monitoring. Baby B passed with flying colors - everything was great. Then they went to Baby A and her arrhythmia disappeared! They monitored her extra long to make sure it just wasn't temporarily gone and her heart was completely normal!

It went away within two weeks of my cutting out my 1-2 cups of coffee a day. I feel so bad - I had no idea that coffee would have that effect. She's okay now, but I still feel guilty and feel even worse because I miss my coffee.

Did they tell you it was because of the coffee? I always heard you could have up to 2 cups of coffee a day while pregnant, I never did, but that is what I've always heard.

Sorry about you missing your coffee, I used to go to Starbucks and get a decaf when I was pregnant. What about getting a decaf coffee every now and then?

Glad Baby A's arrhythmia disappeared though, that is great news. :clapping:

Kim, I'm so glad to hear that all looks good with both babies. Please don't feel guilty though ... my OB said she was fine with me having the equivalent of one Coke a day and I definitely took her up on that. In fact, she's pregnant and due the week before me and I saw her drinking a Diet Coke the other day. It sounds like your babies are doing perfectly and that's the only thing that counts. Take care!

I'm glad the baby is doing better. Don't beat yourself up over the coffee though; maybe that was it, maybe it was coincidence. Good new is good news!

Decaf decaf decaf . . . I was dying for a Mtn Dew when I was pregnant. My IL's drove from Tampa to Alabama -- the closest state where they sell caff free Mtn Dew (apparently sold in only 16 states) -- and brought me back 4 cases. It totally got me thru the last few weeks. So don't go crazy - just have a decaf latte and call it a day!
