I just need to vent - see if anyone else feels/felt the say way, etc... I am almost 9 weeks pregnant and my twins are just over 9 months. I never lost all my weight/tummy with them when I found out I was pregnant. I thought I had all this time to really concentrate on losing it and I hadn't felt I had time to do much working out. My stomach was so distended from the twins that the muscles just seemed really really stretched out. BUT I was losing steadily and my tummy was going down and I finally didn't look pregnant anymore by the time they were 6 months or so. Then of course I got pregnant again and as unexpected as this was we are so happy and excited. I just feel like a total blob right now. I can't diet so I can't lose anymore weight and my DR is happy with my weight gain thus far. I actually crave healthy stuff and get sick on sweets (weird but hey might as well get used to that one! ;) ). My tummy just really popped out in the last week or so and I look REALLY pregnant. I don't really mind because I AM pregnant - but when I wear just loose shirts I look like a fat blob and when I wear maternity shirts I look really pregnant. LOL I thought last night I'd start wearing maternity because maybe I wouldn't feel so dingy. I put on one of my favorites this morning and while I think it made me look more put together I looked really preggo. I'm sitting in front of the mirror thinking ok - so someone asks when I'm due - or how far along I am. I say almost 9 weeks - what with triplets!?? LOL I think I'll be glad to get further along so looking pregnant isn't weird. LOL Did anyone else experience this? I don't know what my deal is lately. My DH is leaving for 4 months - maybe I don't want him to remember me as a fat blob. LOL I think I'm seriously hormonal. Any suggestions on how to make myself feel a little better about how I look? I love being pregnant and I'm so happy about this baby - I don't want to feel bad about my body image, KWIM?

I felt like a fat blob when I was pregnant with Brandon. I never stopped looking pregnant after the boys though. I was in maternity clothes at about 6 wks, already looking 4 months pregnant or a fat blob for the most part. It wasn't a lot farther in that I really looked the size I was supposed too.

I got bloated really fast, but it went down between about week 10 and 18 before I really, truly popped. I bet thats mostly what yours is...and people will understand...I mean you did just have twins under a year ago. People used to tell me all the time, "you look good to have had twins." And I would be like "thanks...well they are two now" HA. So people expect you to still be dealing with post baby weight for awhile. I know its frustrating but hang in there. :)

I never even made it out of my maternity clothes after the twins. I got pregnant with Jubilee when they were 5 months old. And boy did it get old hearing, 'You must be carrying twins.' My answer, "Nope I just had twins how ever many months ago." Or you must be due soon. "Nope, just fat from having so many babies in a row." I was upset, but there was nothing I could do about the weight factor until after the birth. Just remember it's only 9 months of your life. What's that in the whole scheme of things.

I felt the same way with this one, I had about 10 pounds I wanted to loose but got pregnant before that happened. I got bloated really fast and just felt so uncomfortable/fat in my clothes. I started wearing maternity clothes really early because then I actually looked pregnant and not fat and I felt way more comfortable too. It got a lot better for me when as I got further along because then I really look/feel pregnant.

Thanks ladies. :) I went shopping yesterday and got a couple of cute maternity shirts that fit really nicely. I actually felt good about myself. :) They're more for fall so I can only wear them on cooler days right now but I'm excited about it. LOL Trying to remind myself this sweet little baby will be filling in my tummy very soon. :)

I showed right away this time and was wearing maternity by 6wks....people even family (who should know better)would make comments and still do about how big I am they say"you sure there is just one in there!" I used to laugh it off now I snap back with a comment about the fact that I am pregnant, which usually shuts them up. Even now I look further along then I actually am. I don't mind being pregnant I love knowing I have a miracle inside but I would just love to be those "cute" pregnant woman with their little basketball bellies but whatever. I have 2 almost 3 beautiful children rather that then no kids and be a size 2.

Im short and thats the excuse I use for looking very pregnant LOL - Are you short by chance?

Im definitely showing with this baby. Have been for a while. My co-workers have even said "I dont remember you looking this big with the twins" to which I smile and say " well, Im short. This baby has to go somewhere and out is the only option it has and BTW theres only 1 in there this time so its going to be a Big baby" :)

I posted not to long ago about not feeling sexy- dont worry I think the feelings will pass. Its just all those hormones!

Thanks :) Yep - I'm very short. I'm only 5'1. My final measurement around with the twins was 51 1/2 inches so only 10 inches shorter around than I was tall! LOL I definitely pop out pretty quickly. I think I just have the extra "layer" left on me from the twins. My OB said it's very normal to pop out quickly when you get pregnant close together. She said your uterus has a very good memory. My DH laughed and said this baby is going to have an olympic size swimming pool! LOL :) I have been wearing baggy, sloppy clothes lately and that has not helped at all. I put on a nice pair of capri's with my belly band (no way they were even zipping LOL) and a nice maternity top and I feel much better about myself. I definitely have some serious hormones going on. I am a moody maniac. Hopefully it will all even out soon.

I'm short too 5'2". My sister use to tease me with this last pregnancy. You are growing a gold fish and the fish will get bigger cause the bowl is bigger (stretched from the twins). LOL, it was cute coming from my baby sister.

Ahh thanks :) I look cuter in maternity clothes than baggy clothes I must say. LOL I still hate the way I look without clothes. Hoping once the baby gets bigger and I'm more baby and less "tummy" ;) I'll feel better about the mirror. ;)

It looks like that was true! Your little girl was a good size baby!! :) Kinda wondering if that will happen. I know my husband was quite large when he was born so we'll see how big this one is.

I totally feel you on this one! I was back in my pre-pregnancy jeans for a total of about a month when I got pregnant. I had gained roughly 65 pounds with the twins and lost all but eight by the time they were five months old. Granted I was much softer than I was before the babies, but I was working on it. My uterus also has a great memory and I started looking pregnant around 14 weeks give or take a week. Someone actually asked me last week if I was having another one when we were at the mall and I guess I do look pregnant now to those who don't know me. I agree with one of the pp's, it's only 9 months in the grand scheme of it all and I have the rest of my life to worry about how I look and to get back in shape. It's like my husband says - it's not like I let myself go - I have two very beautiful, healthy babies to show for the weight gain, weight loss, stretch marks and twin skin. I've kept my spirits up by trying not to over-indulge and keeping my weight on track. Believe it or not that's really helped me. I'm gaining like I should and exercising when I can (that can be so hard to do with 8 month old lo's). Hang in there, before we know it, we'll have precious little babies and we'll wonder why we gave any of this a second thought.
