Okay - so it was one of those days that my girls just looked older to me than they have been and it made me tear up. The changes are exciting but I don't want them to grow up too fast. Then I was thinking...maybe I will have my husband reverse his vasectomy and we'll try for just one more. But that was just my emotions talking I am sure...I am not sure I could take any attention away from my angels...wow, was I not prepared for all the ups and downs and sideways and forwards and backwards feelings that come along with being a mom. This is just the best time right now...jeez, I think I am gonna cry again! LOL

It is definitely a roller coaster ride. I still get tears in my eyes quite often when I think about how fast my babies are all growing up!

My youngest ones are 4. The other night my DD woke up and came out to the living room. We cuddled and watched some food show and she kept having these very grown up things to say. I just looked at her and got all teary eyed b/c she just looked and acted so much older and I thought about how the time has passed so quickly. They grow up way too fast!

My daughter is 3. I remember the 1st time I realized she looked like a little girl instead of a toddler. It made me a little sad too. Every once and awhile I think maybe we should just have one more. Then I usually change my mind back pretty quick.

I know that my boys are my last two and it really makes me a big blubbering mess sometimes. I feel like just yesturday my oldest was born and now she's about to turn 6 and there is nothing even remotely babyish about her. It makes me sad sometimes how much of the first year with my boys has been a blur because I just want to cherish every second.

If money wasn't an option and I could hire help for the non-child stuff, I think I would actually have another. I tell my DH all the time that if we win the lottery I'm having another baby.

 I got very emotional as the first birthday approached too. Once they actually turned 1 I started focusing on all the good things about them getting a little bit older and a little bit more independent each day. At over 2 years old my girls are still my babies.

 The roller coaster is tough. I just signed my boys up for preschool next year. And I was elated and sad at the same time.

    I can definately empathize. :friends:
I don't think I'd make any vasectomy decisions right now though. :) But hey, maybe you will want more someday. If its right for you, that's awesome.

I finally packed up all of the newborn clothes a few weeks ago. Some of the baggier things still fit Kepler until then, but now he's out of everything length-wise. I think that was the saddest so far. I can't believe that in 11 weeks, they've changed so much. They're not the wrinkly little babies we brought home anymore!! Oh, but how we rejoice - when they started smiling. The coos, even a giggle! Man, that makes me tear up!!

I actually left all of the newborn onesies on a shelf next to their closet, b/c I wasn't ready for them to give them up. Yesterday I got out 6 month sized clothes. Jeez. They are nowhere near the scrawny 4 lbs 11 oz/5 lb babies I came home with.
