For the last week or so I've had times when I feel very light-headed. Sometimes it's just when I'm sitting, too. I don't think it could be from dehydration as I make sure to drink well. Could this be from LOW blood pressure or something? Any ideas? Anyone else have this happen? I made an appointment to see my OB tomorrow, just for peace of mind.

It could also be due to your blood sugar. Excessively high or low blood sugars can cause dizziness, too. Definitely let us know what the doc thinks! Hope you start feeling better!

I've been having it at times too, I was told it was probably low bp, usually if i lay down for a bit it goes away.

I get light-headed and dizzy quite a bit. It usually happens if I have been sitting or laying in the same position for too long. I also find that if I am trying to do too many things (like tying 3 pairs of shoes and bending over) I get dizzy. I am also borderline anemic so that probably contributes. I was quite light-headed and breathless this morning and I think it was because I didn't eat enough and was in a rush from the time I woke up. You might need to increase your caloric intake or eat more protein - at least that's what I think I need to do - and rest a little more! Definately talk to your doctor about it.

I had this with my single pregnancy, too. For me, it was due to being on my feet too long and possibly dehydration. Resting and putting my feet up helped tremendously! It happened a few months ago and I was at work so I really couldn't lay down, so I went to get water and a snack and that helped a ton. If it persists, I would have it checked out by your doctor b/c I have heard it can be a sign of anemia, etc.

    Hope you feel better soon!

When in doubt I say take a nap!! I think it's a sign from your body to take it easy and rest some more.

I have had this BAD during this pregnancy. I've even fainted a few times. I am anemic, but my doc thinks this is more related to low blood sugar. She has me eat lots of protein for breakfast. I'm not a big breakfast eater (especially not bacon or other meat), so I've been drinking Slim-Fast each morning. It's packed with protein. Sometimes I make a PB sandwich, too. This has seemed to help. Maybe you could try that. By all means, though, mention it to your OB.

I used to get this too including seeing stars, after trips to the doctor and no answers, we had to put it down to needing to rest......

I agree it could be anemic, and then I had that when I had a lack of magnesia.

Does a change of position help? Sometimes I feel like my boys are lying on my blood-circulation, especially when I lie on my back (which is almost impossible) or when I sit down and lean back.

Did you find out anything? When I was having this feeling, my OB checked my ears and come to find out I had fluid on both ears. They weren't infected. I just had a lot of fluid. She gave me an RX to take for 10 days to clear it up. I felt much better after just one day of the meds. Hope you're doing better!!

Sorry I didn't update until now...we have family visiting, so I haven't been on here much. Anyway, I saw the doctor yesterday, and, most likely it's due to just a blood flow issue common in pregnancy, especially with twins. There's a term for it, but basically the blood goes more towards the legs and pelvic region and is somewhat taken away from the heart and brain. Laying down does help. He said a person would have to be very anemic for just that to make them dizzy. I'm taking an extra iron supplement, so I don't think that would be the case. The last couple of days I haven't felt as dizzy, so that's good.

He also mentioned the possibility of fluid in the ears, etc., but said usually that gives more of a spinning feeling...or feeling like the room is sideways, instead of feeling light-headed like I have.
