I'm very discouraged right now. Every time I look up something about when you should feel the baby/babies move it is between 16 and 20 weeks, then I go and read about everyone feeling their babies move early and blah, blah, blah. With my dd I didn't feel her move until I was 19 weeks. I thought with this being my 2nd successful pregnancy and there being two in there I would feel them by now. I'm worried. I had an appointment two weeks ago and don't have another one until May 6, which is my U/S.

So, please share if you felt the babies move later or just some positive thoughts for me, because right now I'm not feeling so positive.

I was about 18-20 weeks before feeling my twins move, and I felt all of my singletons by 16 weeks at the latest. Try not to worry! :hug99:

I was like 20-22 weeks before I felt them at all.

I didn't start feeling the twins move a lot until 20 weeks. Now I am 23 weeks tomorrow and they move constantly. I LOVE IT! I love it when they have the hiccups!

I was around 20 weeks too. Also, you may have an anterior placenta, which can block the kicks. Try not to stress out, even though I felt the same way until I felt them myself. You will feel them soon and then they will never stop :)

    Thanks ladies.

I know once they start they won't stop, but I loved it with my dd. I loved feeling her kick, even if most of the time she was in my ribs.

yea it might be the position of the placenta. i go all day without feeling mine sometimes, then i'll get a lil bit of activity and then they settle back down. when they do u/s im always suprised at how much theyre moving, but i dont feel a single thing. dont worry, soon you'll be wishing they werent using your insides as a punching bag or trampoline :)

This is my 5th pregnancy and thought I'd feel movement farily early on... when I hit 18 weeks and still nothing I started to panick (I didn't know it was twins at the time) and had my MW check for a heartbeat - we got it so I was reassured... 2 weeks later still no movement and I'm really starting to worry again (MW comes and does another hb check - and I'm reassured again...) at 21 weeks I got an u/s and found out it was twins (shocker!!) but still no movement. I didn't feel the girls moving until 23-24 weeks!! I mentioned this to the u/s tech (when I was 21 weeks that I hadn't felt movment) and he said that it's perfectly normal to not feel movement until the 20-24 week range (after that - is when they would start to worry).
I know how stressful and scary it can be to not feel them - especially it not being your 1st pregnancy - but as long as you're getting good, strong hb's at your appointments I'd take comfort in that :)

This was my 2nd pregnancy and Ihad an anterior placenta both times. I felt movement at about 22-23 weeks, both times!

I always thought I'd feel them more than with DD1 -- that wasn't the case. I think they had less room for acrobatics and therefore I hardly felt them at all. Don't be discouraged!

I didn't start feeling them until 21 weeks. Even then it was quite mild.. Only after 24 weeks, it has picked up :) It's my first pregnancy though!!!

I hardly feel my girls move at all right now. Every once in awhile I do, but its hardly at all. I'm 20w4d. I'm just hoping it will pick up very soon and I'm hoping I start feeling them everyday.

It's good to hear that others with twins haven't felt them move early.

I didn't feel mine move until about 20 weeks. It was my first pregnancy and it's possible I was feeling them earlier but I thought it was gas. Even after I knew for sure what babies felt like as opposed to gas, I didn't feel them really regularly for another couple of weeks.

And I never felt Amy as much as I felt Sarah -- something to do with their positions and the positions of the placentas.

I recognized the movements at about 20 weeks. It was really cute at first,. But now, I find it hard to sleep when they are moving around a lot. Sometimes it feels like they are fighting in there.

I "think" I felt my babies move around 19 weeks. But, I didn't really start to feel them move on a regular basis for a couple weeks after that. I am a worry wart and I was constantly getting upset if I didn't feel them.

I know how you're feeling. And once they do start moving - your worries won't go away. You'll just worry that they're not moving enough. Oh the joys of being pregnant and worrying about our babies.

Even though these twins are #4 and #5 for me, I didn't feel them until 19 weeks. And even then, I wasn't sure. It took an u/s to convince me they were moving around enough to feel them! Hang in there!

Third pregnancy for me and I was certain I would feel them early on....but nope! It really wasn't until 20 weeks or so that I could be certain I was feeling them move. Now, I can feel body parts and they respond to my touch...very fun!

Don't be surprised if you feel one more than the other too! I constantly feel movement on the right (Hannah), but apparently, position and placenta have everything to do with being able to feel them. My little Lauren (on the left) doesn't punch or kick quite as hard, but I can really feel it when she has the hiccups! Lauren's also been sitting on Hannah's head for the last couple of weeks, so some of her movements are showing up on the right side, too....

:hug99: Try not to stress because, like you said, you're still well in the normal range. Keep in mind that the people who will be more likely to post that they are feeling the babies are those who feel them early. On the 1st year board you'll see the same thing with parents posting about babies sleeping through the night and just going by those posts you'd think all twins slept through by 10 weeks (which is so not true ;)). Having two in there at this time doesn't double what you are feeling. They're still tiny little things who can only move with so much force. When they get a little bigger and the real kicks start then you'll be able to feel a lot. :D

I'm 19 weeks and have felt a few kicks...nothing constant, though. I'm looking forward to more action soon! I think it tends to be a little different for everyone. Good Luck!

I didn't feel either twin move until at least 18 weeks....and even then DS was breech, turned inward, and his placenta was in the front so I didn't actually feel him move much at all my whole pregnancy. On the u/s he would be movig like crazy and I would tell the tech that I couldn't feel any of it. Try not to worry....not everyone feels their babies move early, even if there are two in there!

I felt DS#1 at 17 weeks so I started getting a little concerned when I hadn't felt these two. I thought I was feeling flutters but I could never be sure. I have an anterior placenta so I know that has something to do with it. I didn't start getting consistent kicks until about 20 weeks. You do think you'll feel them sooner, but everyone told me it would be about the same time as a singleton and they were right!
