feel like i have been punched in the stomach...

i am currently 30 weeks plus... sometimes, it feels as if i have been punched in the stomach. or like the wind has been knocked out of me. has anyone ever experienced this before? is it just because i am so large?

 

Do you feel this way just from the babies kicking? I had many times where I felt like the wind was knocked out of me and I literally had to take a deep breath to catch my breath.

 

I do remember that I would loose my breath & it was difficult to get back to 'normal' when I was walking/talking, basically just living!
Is that what you are experiencing? Or is it actually a pain in your stomach?
If it isn't just the winded feeling & you have actual pain I would just give a quickie call to the Dr just to ease your mind

 

When it happens, if you put your hand on your belly does it feel hard? Sometimes strong Braxton Hicks can give that sort of feeling, if I'm understanding you right.

 

I had this when i had either a really stong braxton hick contraction or whenever the babies moved where i looked like a torpedo was in my belly. Like the previous poster said, call the doctor if you are ever unsure and just want to ease your mind.

 

:hug99: I had this feeling as well, and it was them kicking me in just the right spot. <_< It took a bit to get back to feeling okay again. If you don't think this is it, call your doctor so that he can put your mind at ease. :hug99:
