Sorry, it's another feeding question. Just wondering what the norm is for solids at this age. Ds loves solids and is less and less interested in his bottle. They both eat in the morning and at dinner (solids). They have 4 bottles a day. I know their primary source of nutrition is still the formula. Ds could definitely eat another solid meal, dd maybe, she's teething now and not interested in solids this week. Should I introduce another meal yet? Ds is already almost impossible to feed at his noon bottle. Their food is still pureed pretty good too. I've been giving them the yogurt melts and the puffs. They do ok, we just started. What's your schedule like? What do you feed them and when? Mine are growing fine, so I know I'm doing something right, but I know they should be progressing at some point in time too. I feel clueless! Here is our schedule:
Breakfast: oatmeal or multigrain cereal with pureed fruit, bottle
nap, then a bottle, nap, another bottle
dinner: rice cereal with pureed veggie and bottle...bedtime.

At 9 months old, we had just added lunch so we were doing 3 solids meals per day and at least 4 bottles.

At 9 months, I believe I was doing solids for breakfast (mostly oatmeal), lunch, and dinner (all with bottles) & then a bottle before bed. We were on Stage 3 at that time but also introducing table foods.

At 9 months we had three meals also, and just really started to introduce table foods.

Mine are still on 2 meals a day plus 2 bottles and 2 snacks (mid-AM and mid-PM). DD isnt interested in either snack, though I still offer it, but DS is - he´s more active than she is. Things are done differently in my part of the world so my advice would be to follow your LOs. GL!

My girls are just 9 months and we've been on 3 meals/day for a little while now.

I give them cereal in the morning with some fruit in it (mashed banana, little pieces of peach or pear) and cheerios to munch on.

Lunch- Baby Mum Mum, bits of cheese and about 2oz of veggie/fruit/grain meal ( I use the 100 top baby purees book and get ideas from there)

Supper- Same as lunch. I substitute yogurt for the cheese or a protein like chicken or lentils.

For each meal I try to make sure they get a grain/fruit or veggie and a protein.

They are still taking 4 bottles/day of about 7 ozs each.

    Hope this helps!

We've been doing 3 meals since they turned 8 months.

Nurse when they wake up, breakfast (1 1/2 cups fruit, 1/2 cup yogurt split)
Nurse after nap, lunch (1 cup veggies, 1/2 cup protein)
Nurse after 2nd nap, sometimes nurse before dinner (depending on whenthey take 2nd nap), dinner (1 1/2 cups veggies)
    Nurse before bed

I give them chunky hand mashed fruits and veggies whenever possible (sweet potatoes, avacados, pears, bananas, etc. I just mash with a fork so it stays chunky), plus some purees of the harder stuff (chicken, brocolli, cauliflower, carrots, etc.). I've been giving them shredded cheddar cheese to practice picking up (because they don't like picking up slimy banana chunks!), but they really just hold it in their hands. DD tried to put it in her mouth, but I think it's too small. We may try some of the puff type things soon. I haven't started snacks yet because I don't think they need it yet, but I might start in the afternoon after their 2nd nap because it's a long stretch of time that they are awake.
