My girls are almost six weeks old and are bottle fed. I keep reading other moms saying they have their twins on the same schedule and feed them at the same time. I have had twin mommies tell me this too. Okay so I hope this isn't a stupid question but you do actually feed them at the same exact time? Or do you feed one, burp, and put down and then go through the routine with the other? The girls eat around the same time but not always at the exact same time. Usually within 15-20mins of each other. I know I could get them back on track pretty easy since their not too far off from each other. But for those that feed at the same exact time how do you do it? Do you hold one while the other is in the bouncer and you hold the bottle? Are both in bouncers? It seems like it would be a lot easier to get them to eat at the same time. I feel like all I'm doing all day is feeding a baby or washing bottles!

I place both of them in bouncers then sit on the floor between them and feed them both at the same time. BIG time saver for me. DS1 always takes a bit longer to finish his bottle but DS2 is happy to wait for burping as he has a full tummy. Every so often they feed at different times and I have to admit I really cherish that one on one feed and cuddle. Do whats comfortable for you. Good luck. :D

Sometimes, since my LO's are still a bit small to fit safely into their high chairs, I put their car seats up on the kitchen table and put them in them, sit down in front of them and feed them that way - I find I can rest my arms on the front of the carseats for support, and this way, I can also eat at the same time (sort of) if I bring a plate of something simple in with me and put on the table in between their seats. I have also done the bouncy seat thing, and am excited for when they are able to hold their heads up for long enough periods of time that I can "squish" them together in a boppy and feed them that way!

my guys are 12 weeks old, 5 weeks adjusted age :)

When I did feed ebm, I would sit them either in the bouncer or I'd sit one in the crook of my leg and and the other on a Bobby. But always at the same time :youcandoit:

Thanks for the ideas ladies! I am going to start feeding them at the same time tomorrow. They both typically wake around 630-7am for a bottle. They wake up during the night still but that time it usually the same. But lately they have been eating and then staying up a bit before going back to sleep. So I think that will be a good time to start. I have fed them at the same time before but it's not usual. I think I just need to do it more so I can get the hang of it. It will save a lot of time!

At that age I'd set up two boppy pillows on either side of me and feed them simultaneously. It feels a little weird at first but you'll quickly get used to it. I would have to pause halfway through to burp each one and then continue. When they outgrew the boppies, I'd put them in bouncy seats on either side of me and feed them that way. Then they started holding their own bottles and that made everything much easier!
