Tomorrow my husband goes back to work after his 4 week leave and i have a quick question about feedings now that i will be alone...Out girls usually do not wake at the exact time around feeding hours...We will usually get second baby up about 20/30 minutes after the first is up if she doesn't wake on her own..So my question is this...would it be easier to just feed/burp one while the other is sleeping, then wake the other when the first twin is done? Or is it easier to just have them both awake and feed them together?

I always liked to feed mine together bc when they were tiny they took FOREVER to eat! So if they had a growth spurt and ate every 2 hours with it taking 45 mins to eat it didn't leave much time in between to pump and such. It is whatever works best for you!

I feed mine at the same time. I like that I had a little time in between to relax or enjoy my babies. I still feed mine in bouncy seats and prop bottles up with a pillow. If you start now, then your babies will get used to it and it becomes super easy. It takes some practice, but everyone will learn. Now I can put them in their seat, prop the bottles and make coffee for me in the morning all at the same time!

I don't think there is an easier, it's just what works best for you. If you're happy with the routine you have now then carry on feeding/burping one before you wake the other (which means you get a little one-on-one time with each and don't have to worry about either crying). If not then start waking the second twin as soon as the first is up and feed them together (which means it will take you less time to feed so you'll have more time for other things).

I always fed them together, it was such a time saver, and I definitely need those!

I always fed mine together. I just found I spend a lot less of my day feeding babies if I fed them at the same time!

I fed one after the other and whoever woke first or was crying the loudest got the bottle first. I only fed them at the same time a couple of times at bedtime bottle when they tended to get a little crazy and impatient lol I like the one on one time i had with the babies, feeding them at the same time just didn't work for me but if you feel comfortable that way then go for it, it wll save you precious time! Good luck

I used to feed one after the other, until they hit about 6-8 wks old. By that time, they didn't sleep all day long anymore, they were awake a bit more. And inevitably, they were both hungry at the exact same time at least a few times during the day!

So I started feeding them at the same time, rather than listen to one screaming while feeding the other. It made things go much smoother, less crying time for babies and a little more "free" time for mommy!
