So here I am again, sorry for so many posts lately but I appreciate all the help. So this started yesterday really, the girls have been getting Similac advance ~2-3 ounces usually every 3 hours sometimes more often if they are crying and diapers are clean etc.. So yesterday afternoon and last night they both started crying hubby and I were feeding and they were both pulling off the bottles and getting them to drink the whole thing was a nightmare. I was trying to get them to finish the whole 3 ounces because during the day they had started doing every 2 hours, drinking a smaller amount and it was driving me nuts so I TOLD hubby lets try to get them back to drinking more and then stretching feeds to q3 hours. IN any case as I mentioned they were pulling off the bottles and we could hardly get 2 ounces in them though they had screamed there heads off like they were starving till we got the bottles in there mouths. So today again i'm alone they both started screaming at once I make two bottles prop one them both up and start feeding both at once again THEY were both pulling off and still SCREAMING I don't knwo what the hell to do.. is this reflux?? I'm at the end of my rope here my hubby thought it might be the bottles I've been using drop ins the slow flow nipple since they are 1 month and 0 months adjsted. I'm also using the gerber botttles and nipples which they seem to do better on but still pull off. Also, when I pick them up they stop crying put them down start crying. My one twin, if I lay her on her stomache goes right to sleep and stops the fussing but I don't like doing that because I'm afraid of SIDS.. HELP..

it sounds like reflux to me.... my DS and DD would obviously be hungry but would suck a few sips and then pull off and scream. Feeding would take over 45 min and I was going nuts. They were put on zantac (ranitidine) for reflux, usually the first med used but it didn't help and in fact made them worse! Now we're on prevacid for DS, DD was weaned off and has done ok. It has made a HUGE difference. I would talk to your pedi about it. Mine wasn't too comfortable with these meds so she consulted with a ped GI specialist for some advice and it has worked out really well. Don't hesitate to get going on this b/c why should they or you suffer?? I should have pushed a little sooner.

I agree with Smiley7, my daughter sounded just like yours they put her on prevacid and she is doing better, still a screamer but no where near as bad as she was...good luck
