Anthony has been trying to feed me instead of eating his own food lately. Even if I walk away & do not pay attention, I'll turn around and he'll be waving a piece of chicken nugget in the air. He hasn't been eating much because of this. I'm hoping this is just a 'sharing' phase (obv not a good one). Any thoughts?

My boys do this to both DH and I. I take a bit, then say "okay, now it's (Jake/Ryan)'s turn!". They take a bite, then I pretend to take a bite. It seems to get them back on track.

Mine LOVE to feed adults. The trick with my girls is to say "no, you eat it" right from the beginning. If I accept one piece then they both only want to feed me and no longer want to eat themselves.

Mine love to do this too. I pretend to eat it and then give it back them and for some reason, they eat it.

Mine still do this... I think it's just a "sharing" phase. I do what the PP's said... either pretend to take a bite (while saying "thank you!") or jsut tell them to eat it. It works now, but at that age, it was tougher to convince them to stop feeding me and start eating.

I agree that it's a sharing phase and another time (of many) to redirect them to eating it for themselves.
