On a previous thread someone mentioned feeding cheese crumbles to their little ones. I am worried that it is a choking hazard. Can my 7 month olds with no teeth try these? They are on 2nd foods right now, but have never had anything besides that.

I tear pieces of american cheese. When I started giving cheese, I tore it in real small pieces and now the pieces are a little bigger. They love it!

I give mine cheddar & they really like it. I cut it into tiny cubes (very tiny) because I find they can pick them up without too much difficulty. They chew them with their little gums & we haven't had any problems with gagging or choking. :)

In really small pieces, cheese can usually disolve. When we would go to the Mexican Rest. we would ask for a bowl of shredded cheese, and they would snack on that while we ate our meal.

Thanks for posting this, I was wondering the same thing. Shredded sheese seems like a good idea to me. Mine have teeth but just 2 in the front so I don't think they're much use for eating

I buy the bags of shredded cheese. I have torn up pieces of sliced cheese as well. The shredded is great because I can just open the bag and dump some on their tray. I love easy to prepare food! B)

neither of mine have teeth and they both eat shredded cheese. It's great for them to test their pincher too!
