What are your babies favorite toys at around 20 months? I think my boys have grown bored with the things they have now so I am looking for tried and true toys :)

    TIA

My boys are quite a bit younger than yours but I just got a great toy for them. We discovered it at an indoor playgym and then found it at Costco. It's a big school bus frame made of wood and each side has a different toy on it.... a place with cars on tracks, spinning letters, magnets, a steering wheel, beads on wires...it is pretty big but it replaces a LOT of other smaller toys. I think they'll use it for quite a while so it was worth the money too.

Maybe that have it at Costco's nationwide, I know they are starting to stock up for Christmas.

My boys are getting more into cars/trucks/trains. My mom just got them this yesterday and they love it http://www.babyuniverse.com/pro/baby/76909...ControlCar.html the remote part clips into the car so they can push/carry the car around when not using the remote control part, really cute. Oh and my mom bought it at Target for $15 a piece.

They also like their Backyardigans guitar we bought for them at Walmart last week.

    Shape sorter
LeapFrog magnetic fridge farm (they got this for the 1st b'day, but still play with it every day)
    Stacking cups
    Anything involving water
Anything that has a lid they can put on & take off themselves
A school bus that sings different verses of the Wheels on the Bus if you push on different parts of it (the wipers, the horn, the lights, etc.)

My guys are only 17 months but they have a lot of "older toys" because of their brother. They love the little people airplane, fire truck, and car ramp. They love hot wheels, die cast airplanes. Tonka trucks, fire trucks, trash truck, ambulance, and helicopter. Wood blocks and bendable people. Balls and bats (one is excellent at hitting the ball on a tee). Dress up hats (cowboy, fireman, construction man, race car driver) Thomas the train anything. Wood stackers (large beads that go on number rods). Ride on toys. They love their cousins kitchen set.

Wow I didn't realize how many things they liked(and had). I have not a clue what to get all 3 for Christmas.

I just bought it at a Costco in NJ too!!. My friend has it in her basement and all the kids flock to it when she has a playgroup. We picked it up this weekend and will give it to the girls for their 2nd B-day....it's pricey though so try to get it from someone or a group as a gift if you can!! ( $140 plus tax!!!...and you need a car big enough to get it home!!). Not sure if it's hard to put together yet either...seems like a really great toy though!!

i'd love to hear more suggestions...my kids are getting super bored and so am i!!!!!!!!!

they still like their baby grand piano some, but other than that, they really only play with their books and carry around dolls some. They really like to read, but other than read and watch elmo, and then my real active playtime with them, chasing them down the hall and pulling them around in baskets, etc, they don't do much else (that sounds bad...i mean they do stuff, but i'm sure you KWIM, same ole, same ole)...they are bored! i am thinking about getting a play kitchen....any really good suggestions on that? sorry if i highjacked this thread.

Mine just turned 2. They too like their older brothers cars and toys. We found some bigger diecast trucks that have doors that open at Wal-mart. They love to open and close them. They are a little bigger than hot wheels. They also love the duplo lego blocks. They are not as big as mega blocks and not as small as regualr legos. They always wanted to play with brother's legos, but they are just too small. We also bought them a train/lego table made by Kidcraft from Mobileation.com. One side is lego boards, and the other side is for the train tracks. It came with a little train set and blocks. And you can store the blocks and train set inside the table. We paid $99 for it. They love it!

Right now the boys are really into Elmo and Spiderman; any toy that has either character on it is a WINNER! LOL :) Something they really love, but is not a "toy" per se is their spider man and super man couches they recieved last Christmas. They are still a big hit and they love to sit on them during resting time and watch a movie. As far as specific toys, their favorites right now are chalk, soccer ball, cars, and mega blocks. These are things that they play with daily (except the chalk since that's an outdoor thing and it's getting super hot in TX). Oh yeah, How could I forget about their beloved tractors (you can find the plastic kind in any size from small like a toy car to big enough to scoot around on at Wal-Mart).

A few things my boys love that haven't already been mentioned: puzzles. They LOVE them! Especially the ones that make sounds as each piece is inserted. They love books, too. We also have a Kangaroo Climber inside that they play on everyday. They have little cars that they sit on and scoot around in daily. And they love refrigerator magnets-letters and numbers. Also, I just started giving them the crayons you use to draw in the bathtub so sometimes we just take a "fun" bath for a change of pace.
