    Hello,

We will be moving over to this board in just 11 days. YIKES! Many people have asked me about toys the kids may like for their birthday. They are getting very tired of what we have now. Of course they are mostly interested in the TV, DVD and VCR player, remote control, laptop, telephone, etc.

Can you give me any ideas for specific toys to suggest to others? We have the Leap Frog table already.

    See you soon!

    TIA!

mine love ride-on toys...especially the ones that double as a push toy. Playskool makes a gear toy that you put the gears together on its tray and press a button and they go....they love it. They also like Mega Blocks, board books, their toy wheel barrow.

My mom bought the twins the riding toys (a Dora the Explorer for Mikayla and a Lightening McQueen one for Michael) They LOVED them and still use them often. Also at this age we started getting the Little People sets. Michael and Mikayla just got the dinosaur and egg ones. They also love this pop up Sesame Street toy.

They always love books, DVDs (baby Einstein). You have to get them bathtub letters! My twins now know their whole alphabet.

We can't live without the doll strollers - easy to pack and they LOVE them. They also really like the Farm Fridge Magnet and the Fridge DJ Magnet, both from Leapfrog. These toys have continued to be there favs since their bday.

Ditto on the ride-on (although at 15-months ours has become a dangerous traveling step-stool for them to get a leg-up on anything they want to climb on  )

The boys favorites since turning 1:
    FP Learning Home
    Little Tikes Climbing Cube
Interactive Books (with music, open/shut doors, etc)
    Step 2 Water Table
    Wagon
    Popper

Congrats on the first year...have a great bday.

Some of my girls favorites since they were 1 have been

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?p...rentPage=search This is one of their absolute favorites and mine too. It's very educational and has a music mode and an abc/learning mode. It is just unbelievable how much stuff there is to do with the one toy. Every week I feel like my girls are discovering new skills from it. It's a toy that grows with them. I LOVE IT

Lots and lots of board books.

Perhaps a little kid couch or the chairs. They are so much fun and my girls love sitting on them. It is their special place to sit. We have the Dora one and it is so cute. It opens up into a little bed with a zip on/off sleeping bag.

I agree with pp also about toys they can sit and ride on or you can pull them in. They love those!!

Some of my girls favorites were, board books, Fisher Price Peek-a-Blocks, ride on toys or push toys, the Little People Farm, Leap Pad Alpha Ball, snap together beads. You can also get bath toys, puppets, simple puzzles, a small table and chair set, washable crayons.

The Playskool ball popper was a huge hit with my boys. In fact it was a hit with the older kids at their party too, and the boys still love it. Also the push toys, the one with the long handles and the balls pop and make noise when you push it - they carried those things around forever.
