I have a few things in mind for the kids' upcoming birthday:

    helmets
pots & pans for their play kitchen
    Foogo bottles

Any other ideas for what your boy/girl 2 year olds really enjoy? I'm sure I'll have grandparents calling me & they already have way too many clothes. :)

Mine (both girls) got a set of Mega Blocks (big Legos), and we are all having a blast with them!

Mine totally love their toy stroller and shopping cart. They don't really "pretend" with them that much, they just like to load them up with stuffed animals, trains, books, etc. and push things around the house.

We also got a train table for their birthday and they are into it. Again, they don't do elaborate scenarios with the trains, but they enjoy stringing them together and pushing them around. We splurged on some real Thomas trains, and they like to talk about what all the trains' names are.

My twins birthday isn't until September 30th (turning 2). We are going to get them the play kitchen for their birthday. We will buy some smaller things for the kitchen to go with it.

    For you --
    play kitchen?
    Mr. and Mrs. Potatoe Heads
    Melissa Sounds Puzzle (?)
Bob and the Builder (construction kits)

I haven't really look around but this is all I can think of....:)

We have 2 girls but some of this stuff is gender nuetral

We are getting the girls the large sized Aquadoodle with extra pens. They love to color and draw so this is great. You can just throw it down on the floor anytime, anywhere and let them do their thing with no mess what so ever.

My girls are just starting to do a little pretend play so we will probably be adding on to their little people collection (they have the house and barn right now).

Probably more board books (they love love love books)

A pretend clean up set (broom, mop, dust pan, and so on)

Not sure what else yet. Maybe some outdoor toys but we don't want to buy too much because we are moving sometime this coming summer/fall so I don't want anything too big that we can't really move or use over in Puerto Rico. We are going to buy a condo so we won't have the space or backyard for many of the things I would really love to buy them.

Cooking sets, dishes, and play food were big hits at that age (still are, actually, at 5 1/2!).
Dolls that use the potty are fun, and a nice ice-breaker :D .
Little trikes that can be pushed or pedalled.
    Work bench with tools.
    Sprinklers & other water toys.
