We sing...
Old MacDonald
ABC's
Twinkle, Twinkle
Row, Row Your Boat
Here Comes Peter Cottontail
Itsy Bitsy Spider

That's all I can think of right now, I know there are more!

My favorite is one I made up for the girls, sung to the tune of I'm A Little Teapot, but I changed teapot to peanut and changed other wording. We (I) sing it every morning and they are now starting to laugh as soon as they hear it. :)

Actually, we are a little unconventional at our house, my guys like DooWap and Elvis...so I sing things like "In the Still of the Night", "Love me Tender", "Can't Help Falling in Love with you". I then we have a made up song to the tune of Happy Birthday that is "Good Morning To You....."

Corny I know....but, they seem to like it.

Mine absolutely LOVE the Itsy Bitsy Spider. We sing others, but that one gets smiles every time!

Itsy Bitsy Spider is a really big hit right now. Jake is "trying" to do the hand signals. But they LOVE You Are My Sunshine (or my Jake & Ben) before bedtime.

My babies love 'That's Amore' every time I sing it they laugh and laugh.

I also sing them lots of songs that my mom used to sing to me when I was a kid, mostly Glasgow street songs. My mom knows tons of little songs and rhymes from when she was 'wee' and sings them to the babies all the time.

During the first year I probably sang the alphabet to them more than anything...no matter how tired I was, I couldn't forget the words!

Another big one was: "I love you a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck..." What's the name of it?

Now it's definitely: "You are my sunshine."

Ha ha! Same here!

We do a lot of interactive singing: head, shoulders, knees & toes and pattycake. They LOVE both of these. For bedtime, it's twinkle, twinkle. Sometimes I will sing one of my favorite church songs, they have loved the organ at church since they were in my belly.

Here is a link that was on a post awhile back with songs and lyrics.

I like to sing this greek song that my mom and grandma sing but unfortunately I dont know the lyrics so I keep the tune and make up words that are close enough!!!

My boys love signing. We sing everything from the ABC's to Dixie Chicks songs. Their favorite is the ABC's and He's Got the Whole WOrld in his hands.

Our night time song is "Good night sweetheart, yeah, it's time to sleep (instead of go)". You are my sunshine is a favorite too. I'm always trying to remember the words to songs, so...great question! And thanks to PP for the website link!

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

The itsy, bitsy spider, climbed up the water spout.

Down came the rain and washed the spider out.

Out came the sun and dried up all the rain,

So the itsy, bitsy spider went up the spout again.

Verse 1: Join the left index fingertip to right thumbtip and the right index fingertip to the left thumbtip. Keeping one fingertip and tumbtip touching, swing the other pair up to touch each other again. Repeat this "climbing" motion going"up the water spout"

Sprinkle fingers down for the second verse and make a sweeping motion for "washed the spider out"

Make a big sunshine (circle with your arms) for the third verse.

Make your climbing fingers for the final verse.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

Here Comes Peter Cottontail
Here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin' down the bunny trail,
Hippity hoppity,
Easter's on its way

Bringin' ev'ry girl and boy
A basketful of Easter joy
Things to make your Easter
Bright and gay

He's got jelly beans for Tommy
Colored eggs for sister Sue
There's an orchid for your mommy
And an Easter bonnet too. Oh!

Here' comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin' down the bunny trail
Hippity hoppity
Happy Easter Day

Look at him hop and listen to him say,
"Try to do the things you should"
Maybe if you're extra good
He'll roll lots of Easter eggs your way

You'll wake up on Easter morning
And you'll know that he was there
When you find those choc'late bunnies That he's hiding ev’rywhere, Oh!

Here' comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin' down the bunny trail
Hippity hoppity
Happy Easter Day.

This is the whole entire song, apparently, I have never heard anything except for the first 2 verses!

We sing Danny Boy with their names instead (they all love it!), Freak le Chic (with their names), Patty Cake and I can't think of anything else because my brain is fried right now! What a long week!
