I love the c.d.'s I have but I'd love to add some more new music into the mix. We listen to a lot of Rockabye Baby (Beatles, Coldplay), Kindermusik, Elizabeth Mitchell...what are your favorites?

I like the Baby Praise collection, and the night night sleep tight collection from "the little series".

My twins turned 1 year old last month and they seem to prefer pop music. I read somewhere on the internet that baby's prefer fast music.
My daughter seems to like everything. She doesn't show a strong preference like my son does. He starts bouncing when he hears something he likes. Yesterday I was playing them a few songs off Youtube and he really liked Queen's song "Living on my own " and Shania Twain's "I feel like a woman ".

My girls (I assume, it's the only thing we listen to!) like rock and pop. I listened to GNR, AC/DC, etc when they were in the womb and they would start moving around when they heard the music. I guess I may be a bad mom because we don't listen to kids music or classical stuff!!!!

My husband plays a lot of Beatles, Elvis, and last night we played some Doors... ha! I have a great Putumayo CD called "Dreamland"... it's lullabies from around the world; very pretty and soothing!

We pretty much listen to everything. I just try to change it up. When they were 1-4 months we listened to the
Rockabye-Lullabies "Beatles" a lot--trying to get them to sleep!

We play everything from Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and
tons and tons of pop stuff on the radio, from 70's pop, 80's, & 90's. And, classical from the radio.
The twins really like country, which is hilarious because I really don't like it much (the current stuff).
Again, we rely on some cd's and a lot of radio, especially on our satellite tv provider. I think it is important
    to change it up.

A cd I can't recommend enough comes from The Land Of Nod (www.landofnod.com).
It's their Volume I cd. At first, I thought ok, strange. My mom and mother in law weren't big fans at first
but now they LOVE it. We all catch ourselves singing the songs. Oh--there is an Elizabeth Mitchell song on there.
We just ordered the Volume 2 because we liked the first one so much.

They Might Be Giants have several "children's" Albums. Really more for preschoolers, but fun for people of all ages.
