My girls LOVE curious george stories. I have a book that includes all the stories and we read one (or more!) a night. They jump up and down after bath yelling "Monka Monka Monka!"

    Ours LOVE:

Eight Little monkeys jumping on the bed - (I don't know the author and the book is upstairs!)
Eensy Wensy Spider - (same as above)
    MILLIE MOO! (Camilla Moody)
    Mother Goose (My First Treasury)
    Let's Be Kind (PK Hallinan)
    Inside Noah's Arc (Charles Reasoner)
A Night Night Prayer (Amy Parker)

These are all fantastic books; however, I have to say that Millie Moo is a must have!

I've recently gotten hooked on making Amazon lists. :) Here's the one with our favorite books.......we go to the library about once a week & I'm trying to add our favorite library books in there, too, so I don't forget them.

We also LOVE the Sandra Boynton books around here. I'm fairly certain we have ALL of them.

Our other favs are the books with the buttons that you push to make noise. There are various kinds out there...we have some Sesame Street, some Diego, some Cars, etc. You can find them anywhere & the boys LOVE to push the buttons, dance, & 'read' along with the story!

They're also into picture books. Like the Baby's First 100 Words or whatever. Anything they can point to an object & have us tell them what it is (or point to it if we ask).

Really, mine are into ANY books...mainly ones that they can 'chew'. They're so naughty....

Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems (another good author)

Click, Clack Moo Cows that Type by Doreen Cronin

Knufflebunny by Mo Willems (I like all of the stuff that this author puts out)

The Man Who Walked Between the Towers by Mordicai Gerstein

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr.

    No, David by David Shannon

    Stellaluna by Janell Cannon

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff

Zen Shorts by Jon J Muth

I really like all of Roger Priddy's books for really young kids. He has board books and cloth books that are great. Some favorites are Fuzzy Bee and Friends (cloth) and Bright Baby First Words (board book).

When in doubt, I don't think you can ever go wrong with any of the Newbery Honor Books or Award Winners for older kids. http://www.ala.org/ala/alsc/awardsscholars...ewberymedal.cfm

And I don't think you can ever go wrong with any of the Caldecott winners for younger kids/picture books. http://www.ala.org/ala/alsc/awardsscholars...decottmedal.cfm
