favorite 2nd birthday presents

Okay, they're only 18 months old, but I'm already having their second birthday in the back of my mind. Their birthday and Christmas are so close together, and their grandparents always want ideas too. So the more ideas I can come up with, and the sooner I can come up with them (and maybe even hit some great sales along the way), the better.

What were some of your favorite second birthday presents?

 

Nadia got the Little People Sweet Sounds Home for her 2nd birthday (or maybe for Christmas just before), and became obessed with Little People from that point on....

 

Step 2 rollercoaster and Mr. Potato Head. They play with Mr. Potato Head every single day!

 

My boys will be 2 in Aug and they are really big on those wooden puzzles right now, so I put those on their wishlist. I also put a lot of learning their ABCs stuff like the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics® Magnetic Set, Melissa & Doug ABC puzzles (with wooden puzzles above), and Leapfrog DVD Letter Factory. I'm big on learning toys.

the girls just got Rodys and the LOVE them!

they also love the large Aqua-Doodle that they got; and they love the tea-party set that they got...

 

Thomas the Train set from Learning Curve. Every 2 yr old boy I know loves it!

 

We aren't quite there yet...(October) but I'm thinking about this too. DD loves her magnadoodle, DS loves dinosaurs and blocks right now. I'm not sure what we will get them but I've asked grandparents for a kitchen playset and accessories to go with it. Puzzles are always a good idea. Since they are winter babies, what about something like a double sleigh wagon?

 

A couple of things my boys just got for their 2nd birthday- but probably won't be alright ion your case, because they are summer things. Radio Flyer first scooter, minature lawn chairs, a really cool spray pool for our backyard. These were their favs.
