My babies are 10 months this week--craziness! Anyways, I'm already thinking about their party and a couple of things DH and I want to get them for their birthday. One item were thinking of purchasing is this double wagon:

Any thoughts? We are also thinking of a water table.... What were other favorite gifts? Thank you!

We got the radio flyer wagon that is similar to the step 2 wagon, have not had much of chance to use it due to the weather but the little we have used it they seem to like it. Ours birthday is the day after Christmas, so some of this stuff is Christmas/Birthday stuff but they really liked Gab and Sing Brobee (from Yo Gabba Gabba), Talking Cookie Monster, Leap Frog refrigerator farm house with the animal magnets (that are currently lost in the black hole of our house), push and ride little car, Fisher Price Spinning Musical Zoo, Crawl and Cruise Musical Jungle. Hope that helps!

I'm not sure about the wagon, we wouldn't have room to store it so it never crossed my mind. For the water table, I think 12 months is too young, and to be honest I don't even think mine will be ready for it this Summer at all sadly. So maybe I'd save that for next year, I'm sure they will LOVE it then.

Mine really like books, their fisher price piano or activity tables and the fisher price laugh and learn home... they love the mailbox too, and that super annoying VTech beetle. But I think their favorite toys ever are stacking cups, and they're cheap.

I have wanted to get the boys a wagon since their first birthday-but we have yet to so far. Hopefully this spring! Here are a few ideas...

    What we have:

Fisher Price Laugh-n-Learn Home/Kitchen(Kitchen was for Christmas, Home we got as a shower gift-they play with it everyday)
Sand/Water table: They LOVE it! I just got it about a month ago-I say definitely for this!
Kangaroo Climber: It's in our garage, dh has to put it together-it was a first bday gift as well. But my brother has one and they love it there!
    Table/Chair set-for coloring, snack, etc...

    What I would like:
Kitchen set-I know a lot of people have said their twins LOVE theirs. This is probably a Christmas gift this year!
An easel: I am hoping to get it for them from the new baby...Any way to sneak a gift past dh... ;)

Some other ideas-outdoor toys..We have some lawnmowers they enjoy...and ride on toys. We got them a power wheels car and a ride on ATV. They haven't mastered them yet-but those are some more ideas!

Have fun! I love shopping for them-especially toys! :D

we have the wagon and the girls love it. we use it at the park, the mall, the library... we haven't used our stroller in a few months!
the girls have the laugh n learn kitchen and the step 2 kitchen and they love both.
push/ride on toys were big hits
    little people farm
    they LOVE their ball pit!

since it's getting warmer out, you may want to look at some outdoor stuff

We have this wagon, except ours was special made by BRU & has a little storage container on the back that's AWESOME. They LOVE the wagon. Just make sure it has seat belts because, even know, my two try to stand up & it drives me bonkers!

The other big hits for presents for their first birthday were:

Ride on car toy (ours is a Leap Frog one, but they make tons of different kinds, like these)
Picnic table (we have it inside & they love to sit at it)
Puzzles (like these, have been a HUGE hit)
Fisher Price Piggy Bank (they play with this daily STILL)
Fisher Price Rock, Roll N Ride bike (we haven't converted ours yet, it's still just like a rocker...maybe this summer?)
Books (Sandra Boynton is our favorite author)
Trucks to push around (even my friend's daughters love these, so it's not just for boys)
    Magna Doodles (another HUGE hit)
Play kitchen with accessories like plates, bowls, spoons, food, etc (my boys have loved their kitchen from the second we got it!)
    Balls, blocks, legos

    (ETA extra thoughts)

We have that wagon and the boys love being it in!
Biggest hit from their birthday has been blocks...the square wooden ones with numbers and letters on them....they play with them non-stop. And it was the cheapest thing LOL Go figure.

We bought ours their own little rocking chairs from www.toddlerock.com
They LOVE THEM! They are perfect size and made solid. I called the website and they gave me a discount for multiples :) We're happy with our 1st bday choice. The chairs should be good through age 4 or 50lbs.

We have a wagon but so far we have never really used it. I got it out once and walked them a couple of houses down the street, and we used it on Halloween, but that's it. I'd wait and maybe get them that for their 2nd birthday.

Our favorite toys are push toys.

I have seen that wagon and thought about getting one but we never did...I just imagined myself pulling it uphill as the girls got older. I tried to find a wagon you could push without luck! Our neighbor has one like that and she really likes it. I believe there is an umbrella attachment as well. :D

One of the toys that I don't think I saw mentioned above was The Learning House which was a favorite until the girls were 3. My pediatrician and two friends with twins bought one for their children when they turned one upon our recommendation and all the children enjoyed it.

Our girls were about 2.5 before we got a water table. I am not sure they could have done too much with it at one years of age due to the height and ours were still wobbly toddlers at that age.

Lots of great suggestions from pp's!

I read a lot of reviews before we bought our Radio Flyer wagon. I think I remember seeing some bad reviews on the Step 2, so that's why I didn't go for it. Just FYI. Ours is a plastic double seater-- pretty basic but I forget which model. We really like it and I am sure you will love your wagon, whichever you get!

Other things our boys like include chairs, cars, blocks, books, and their Step 2 Slide. We have 2 Cozy Coupes that are big hits, as well as this Ride-On School Bus.

Congrats on making it through the first year! :yahoo:

We got the radio flyer "Pathfinder Wagon" Model 2700 for the twins first birthday.
We use it all the time! I actually used it today to take them into the Dr's office since DS was sick. We LOVE it and I would recommend it!

    The pp's have great ideas.
Some others of our favorites are ball pit & sandbox.
We haven't gotten a water table yet but, I am wanting to get one for the summer.

Ladies, thank you SO much! This is an AMAZING list of suggestions!

I'm going to wait on the water table, I think you're right, they will get more out of it later.

By random coincidence, a lady walked by today with two cute identical twin boys in the Radio Flyer wagon. She was super nice and let me pull them and try it out. They loved it and I go on lots of walks with them so I think we'll be investing in one...I want to invest in a lot of the aforementioned toys too! Thanks so much again!

My twins b-day is May 1st. We got them the step 2 red wagon with the hard top that you can remove. I love how it had the cup holders and a tray for the adults, so we can put our drinks, and keys or something when we go to the zoo, or other places. We also got our twins a water/sand table w/ an umbrella. I think they will enjoy this, because they LOVE water. If not no biggy, it will be there next year. We got them several outfits. My mom is getting them the ATV ride on toys, and My SIL and BIL are getting them a slide. I am really hoping that someone gets them a ball pit. I think they would love it. But if not that is ok too ;).

For Christmas we got them the fisher price learning house and learning kitchen. They LOVE both of them right now. Just in the last couple of months they started really playing with it.

Some other things I put on the twins wish list is mega blocks, little people, sprinkle and splash play pad (kind of like a pool but not deep).

We got a swingset for the back yard form Mamaw and they love it. We got them the Laugh and Learn Home which has been a big hit. They also got a bunch of Little People stuff that I guess I wish we had waited on. They like all the animals, but don't really get it yet. We also got a rocking giraffe that has been wonderful. Wooden puzzles are a favorite too - Wal-Mart has them for $3.

Things I wish we had now (and the boys birthdays are close to Christmas so they have a while to wait!) are a cube climber like the kangaroo climber, little chairs for tv watching, more ride-on toys, Cozy Coupes, playhouse. We thought the swingset would be enough for outside, but I really wish we had gotten several smaller toys and left the swinging for the park. That said, they LOVE their swings :)

We also have one of the Step 2 wagons that they don't make anymore (it's the one you picked out but with a canopy). I love the canopy for my things and theirs when they are tossing things out of the wagon. I actually wish there wasn't a door, though it was the main reason I got the one I did. They can open the door and fight over who opens it. I love having the wagon for trips to our community park. We also live very close to our small county zoo and plan on using it there. I figured the storage in the seat was a must for the zoo trips.

We have that wagon, although ours is red. We have had nothing but a good experience with it, and the babies LOVE it. We don't have a water table at home, but they have one at daycare and really enjoy playing in the water.

We bought that wagon for the twins 1st birthday too (red one). It is a big hit.. they cry when we take them out! It features seat-belts which a lot of models do not, so that is a definite plus. Def recommend it!
