I'm in the market for some new baby toys and was wondering what some of your kids favorites are/were. We're in the process of learning to sit and would like some toys that the boys will be able to use for support. I also am a big fan of toys that "grow" with kids.

At that age every thing went in the mouth, so make sure you get easily washable stuff. I got the sit to stand girraffe for my boys at 9 months at it is great. And they love the leap frog drums.

My girls LOVE to put everything in their mouth - specially TAGS. Yup, tags. So I bought these great toys from www.taggies.com which is also sold at Target and other kid stores. They plush toys and books that have lots of Tags on them. All the tags have differnt texture and design. The toys are great for their motor skills too.

All the toys mentioned above are great ones.

 

Well, this isn't really an independent play toy, but mine have a new infatuation with hand puppets ! They squeal and laugh and grab at them when I put them on. We have a frog prince and Tigger one they just love! They're actually fun for me too :blush:. They'll continue to be great for acting out songs and stories as they get older.

 

Thanks Nicole! I have some puppets and didn't think they'd like them yet! I'll be pulling them out of the closet today!

 

Gracie was obsessed with this toy at that age. she would put her arm through the triangle and sleep with it, like a lovey.

I love my exercauser and the jumperoo. I have one with a stand so that it doesn't have to go in a door way. They get so excited and laugh before they are even in it. Mine have this and love it.Bop and Roll Drum I like it because they could make the music go at like 4 mo. I love any toy that they can push and make it work. We are looking at getting a table type toy, we have decided which one but something like this.learning table

 

my guys have loved the fp jungle train that moves on its own, they have chased it every day since they got it on christmas, same goes for the fp laugh and learn grand piano. as far a little toy, that really holds their attention, they have a sassy toy with a suction cup that detaches from what i can best describe as a ferris wheel, with a ball that lights up. they LOOOOVE that, and have played with it since they were about 4 months old. if you're into grow with me toys, we love their 3 in one excersaucer which will later convert to an activity table once they don't want to be cooped up in it, so they can keep using the toys
