The past week or so, Bea is just so delighted with herself when she states the negative, or I guess the contra-positive technically.
For instance, she will point at me and say "No Daddy", or point at Ainsley, who is standing, and say "Ahs, no sit" and she gets this big smile like, "I just discovered something!"

I'm still trying to figure out what the difference is between the negative and the contra-positive -- and I'm a textbook editor! Are you an English teacher?

Anyway, that is very cute. It's also pretty cool as an indicator of cognitive development!

    So cute.

Jade is totally into the negative statements as well.

    Hers are more like:

Me: Jade, would you like a time out?
Jade: No, I want time in.

Me: Jade, would you like me to put you down?
    Jade: No. Put me up.

Aiden is like that too! I love it when he speaks in such an authotitative tone. Today we were walking to the park near our home and my DH stepped off the sidewalk onto the street and Aiden yelled out " DADDY NO! NO walking on the street daddy. It's for Cars." Thats my boy.:)
