At least 5 nights a week. We also eat breakfast as a family at least 5 mornings a week. We eat between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

Yes, sort of. DH works nights, but I do sit with the girls and eat with them at least 5 nights per week. On the nights he is off, we all eat together. If he were working a day shift, we would definitely eat together. We usually eat between 5:30 and 6, so I voted for 6 p.m.

Dh & I always eat dinner together. The twins eat a little earlier than us. I can't wait for them to join us at the table..

We try and eat together as a family about 4 nights a week. My D is usually working late the other 3 nights.

My husband works second, so we never all get to eat together, but me, the girls, and my son eat just about every night together and we try to be seated by 6:00.

DH and I eat almost every night together. The twins have to eat earlier so they rarely join us. However, after our family vacation later this month, I'm going to have them at least sit in their high chairs with us even if they've already eaten. Family dinner is a big deal to me!!

Ditto this...we put them to bed and then eat after. I keep saying we are going to start to eat together but it has not happened yet. DH and I are bad and eat in front of the t.v. (King of Queens to be exact) but it is sooooo relaxing I hate to give it up. At least two nights a week we take the babies out to dinner. We order an appetizer and a cocktail and feed the kids and then get ours to go and eat after they go to bed. My goal is to eat together by the time they are 15 mons. They are 13 months now!

My dh goes out of town for work regularly (maybe a few days a month at least?) and we always sit down for dinner every single nite. If he isn't home, then me and the girls eat together. It was very important in both of our families to eat dinner together and we want to give that to our girls too.

I voted that we eat as a family every night but it is just me and the kids 4-5 nights a week since my partner travels for work.

We eat together 4or 5 nights (DH works late the other nights) and have since about 1 yr old. Prior to a year the babies ate and went to bed, then we ate....they started eating with us when they went to bed at 7 PM and could eat 'real' food!

    We usually eat around 5:30/6:00

We average 4-5 nights per week at around 6 pm. Sometimes, though, it is just the kids and I if DH is working late.

I eat with the girls every night, and keep a plate for DH. He works in the city and doesn't get home until 7 at the earliest. We all eat together on the weekends.

We eat dinner together every night at 6:30ish. My DH might work late about two/three nights a month, but other then that we are all together for dinner. It also is the only meal of the day I actually get to eat well since he does all the kid "stuff".

I voted every night - but we probably miss 2 or so a month. I voted 6:30 because that is "the plan" but often it's closer to 6:45/6:50 before it's on the table & everyone is seated. I'm sure this will be harder as the girls get older and are in evening activities. All the things they do now are weekday mornings.

We do every night, pretty much, unless DH has to work late or I have a hair appointment. We eat around 6:15-6:30pm (DH gets home from work just after 6pm).

Yes sort of!! I go out to work 5 nights a week so my SO and MIL usually eat dinner with them. I always eat my lunch and breakfast with them. We didnt start eating dinner with them untill about 3/4 months ago as it was easier to feed them and then have ours when they were in bed x

We eat every weeknight and usually weekends too but I picked 5 nights to be safe.

We eat as soon as DH gets home from work which is usually 5:30ish? I get home at 4:15, cook dinner and we are usually sitting down waiting for DH when he gets home.

This is VERY importatnt to me and we've been doing it since the girls started eating baby food!

We eat dinner together every night that dh is home. Several nights a week he works late. I also voted for 6:00 as the average but we eat anywhere between 5:00 and 6:30 depending on the day, did they nap or will they need to go to bed early, did they have a big snack, do we need to be somewhere or get home late from somewhere, etc.

We are about once a week now. I would love to eat together as a family more often, but our current problem is that the boys still go to bed so early....which pushes their dinner so early that we're never ready to eat ourselves that early. So we do something quick for them and then have dinner ourselves after they go to bed.

About once a week, we'll do an early dinner with them so we can all eat as a family. I'm hoping soon they'll be able to stay up a little later, and then we'll have family dinner more often.

We usually eat dinner as a family. I work 1-2 nights per week, so we don't do every night as a whole family. But I know they all still sit down together. We usually do not eat until closer until between 8-9pm. Our kids are in activities nearly every night of the week and we don't usually get home until late. Thus they all get a late afternoon snack and we eat dinner before bed.

We have never actually eaten dinner as a family (yet). DH and I eat together every night after the girls go to bed, but they eat at 5:30 and my DH doesn't get home until 7 or 7:30. We have eaten lunch together a few times on weekends, but usually we're out running errands, going to the zoo, or doing major home improvement projects. I really wish we could eat dinner together with the girls regularly; it's nice to see from this topic that I'm not the only one who doesn't do family dinners yet.

Almost, but not quite. DH and I sit down and eat dinner with Nadia every night at about 6:30pm. The babies are just getting up from their second nap then (they're on a 9:30 to 9:30 schedule), so I usually put them in their high chairs and feed them as soon as the rest of us are done eating.

As soon as they move to one nap -- probably in the next couple of months, I'm thinking -- then we'll all eat together. But, I spoon feed more than they eat independently, and probably will for some time, so that's hard to do if they're sitting at the table....we'll see.

DH gets home late, usually after the kids are asleep. So our family meal is breakfast. We eat a hot breakfast together every morning.

Same here. I love the idea about dinner and cocktails. I may have to try that one. I love eating after they all go to bed-there is something very peaceful about it. My goal was to have all the kids eating at one time and the same thing by the end of the year and then work towards a family dinner by the time the boys are 2. The kids eat together so I achieved that goal and will work on the next one later in the year.

We eat dinner together as a family every night. I had to vote other for the dinner time because we eat at 5:30pm. I am lucky that my DH is home between 5-5:15pm every night.

So I voted "yes - every night." BUT, my DH works nights, so he isn't always with us. But me and the kids eat dinner every night together. And we always eat lunch together , too(DH included).

We eat dinner together pretty much every night - all 4 of us, and we usually eat about 7:30. DH and I both work, so by the time we all get home the last thing I want to do is cook, so it usually takes me a while to get motivated to do it. The twins have always gone to bed around 9:00, and they have always sat at the table with us, even when they were little thing and only taking a bottle. Back then I was pretty good at eating with one hand and propping a bottle for a baby in a high chair with the other :D

Right now, never. The twins eat at 530pm and DH and I feed them together ... we eat when they go down for bed at 7pm ... soon enough we are going to try and all move to eating at 6pm. But I'm SO lazy about planning dinner, that its easier to feed them, and then worry about us later.

Prior to the kids, I would say that DH and I ate dinner together 3-4 times per week. I worked a lot, or he wasn't hungry, or I wasn't hungry, etc.

Now, it's every night. It probably helps that I'm at home all day and can actually plan the meal. Even though it's only about 15-20 minutes, I like the fact that we're all around the table together. Hopefully it's setting up a good habit. :)

Every night, with very rare exceptions if DH and I are having date night. Even if DH and I are cooking for ourselves after the girls go to bed (which happens maybe once a month), we still sit with them and have some crackers or something while they eat. We started doing this when they were maybe 18 months -- I started working on it around 12 months, but it took awhile to get into the habit.

We eat at 6, which is the earliest we can manage since the girls and I get home around 5:40 and DH a bit later. I cook the night before, which is annoying (since I can only make things that can stand to be reheated, and we never get to eat anything when it's really fresh). But once I got used to planning that way, it wasn't so bad.

We don't always necessarily eat the same thing. They almost never eat the main dish (unless it's mac & cheese), but I'll still offer it to them and then make sure they have some yogurt or crackers too.

We eat together at least 5 nights a week. The other two the mothers helper is with them in the evening and she gives them their dinner.

I voted 3 times a week but that's only because it's summer and I slack plus my SD goes to her mom's for most of the summer but during school we eat together 5 times a week.
