Failed on hour glucose test

Aghh, I got the call yesterday that my sugar was slightly elevated and I need to come in and take the three hour test. Yuck. The nurse told me they like your sugar to be under 134 and mine was 166. Has anyone else had their number be that much higher and pass the 3 hour test? I am trying not to worry but I am concerned.

 

Not sure what my numbers were. I failed the 1 hour and then passed the 3 hour. Just be sure to bring something to read with you! Good Luck.

 

Can't remember my numbers either, but I failed the one hour and failed the 2nd hour of the 3 hour test. Because I only failed one hour of the 3 hour test, they said I had a glucose intolerance but not GD. I went on the GD diet to help prevent GD and had to do the finger prick 4 times a day. My blood sugar was normal the rest of my pregnancy.

All of my 1hrs were in the 140's but passed the 3hrs...I had three of them done between my two pregnancies. Hope yours comes back fine!

They never told me the exact ranges, but I failed the one hour by 8 points. my doc told me I had an 85% chance of passing the 3 hour, but on the 2nd hour it was 208!! So, I failed. They sent me to a dietician, cannot eat sweets and for meals can only eat 45grams of carbs, wait 2 hours then check sugar then I can eat a snack of around 30 graMS OF CARBS. Really the only thing I crave is my fruit juice, especially orange juice.

I just went through this last week. I failed the 1 hour test and my number was 169. I did the 3 hour test on Monday morning and they said my results were great and nothing to be concerned about. If it's of any comfort, the nurse told me that 90% of people that don't pass the 1 hour end up passing the 3 hour test. Good luck and keep us posted!

 

I've heard of so many people failing the one hour but passing the three I wouldn't worry about it until you have the three hour test done. I only failed the one hour by like 10 pts but then passed the three hour but again, A LOT of people fail the one hour but pass the three. Good luck!!!

 

I don't know what my numbers were but I failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour with flying colors. Failing the 1 hour is very common with multiples! Don't worry about it - good luck!

 

I failed the one hour. I think mine was 172, but I passed the 3 hour.
