Failed my 1 hour glucose test

    Well, I had my gestational diabetes test on Tuesday and failed it by ONE point and now I have to go for the three hour test next Thursday. One point!! How frustrating is that?! They wanted to send me to Quest Diagnostics but I really don't like the one in this area so I'm going to go to the lab at the hospital. I hope that this one goes better. Ijust keep thinking that had I had an egg for breakfast instead of frosted shredded wheat that morning I wouldn't have to go visit the vampires again. I hate bloodwork. :(

    Yes, I failed the one hour with the twins. But, when I had them the office did the finger stick test. Now they do a regular blood draw because they were getting a lot of false positives with the finger monitor. So, I thought that I was in the clear. Especially since if I don't eat regularly I get shaky. My blood sugar usually seems to run low. I passed the three hour tests (I think I had two) with the girls. So, hopefully, I will pass this one.

    Ugh! I hate the 3 hour test!! Getting poked 4 times isn't fun!

    Oh no, sorry to hear that. Did you have GD with the twins? I hope you pass the 3 hour one!

    I've managed to pass in all three of my pgs so far... I go in for my next test tomorrow morning...let's hope that the track record holds...yikes...I'm eating peanut butter captain crunch right now! But tomorrow morning I'll probably just have a couple of bites of special k about an hour before my test...that usually seems to work okay for me..no oj though!

    No, I didn't. I'm hoping that this one goes well. :(


    Jamie - 4 times? I thought that it was 3 times. :icon_eek: Do they do one when you first get there too?
