I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy an EZ-2 Nurse Pillow. It just seems so humungous, and I'm not sure I'm going to want to tandem breastfeed. Any thoughts or feedback from breastfeeding mommies is appreciated! Thanks!

I not only used it for my twins, I used it for my singleton too! I love the foam.. well worth the money! Yes, it is big. But it makes feeding faster (tandem) and helps hold them in the right position. Good luck with your decision!

Depends- if you ever think you will tandem, BUY IT. If you are completely committed to nursing 1 at a time, I wouldn't. I would, however, look for a Boppi on craigslist. They are very easy to find by many moms who didn't nurse more than a week. I prefer my Boppi when every once in a while, I nurse 1-it's very cozy.

However, I would MUCH RATHER do tandem nursing. It took me about a week to 'master' it, but it gives you free time. In the beginning, I kept the hospital log of individually breastfeeding each baby, + pumping in between for each baby. It was INSANE. I showed it to my mom last week (in from another state) and she could not believe how much time I spent in the beginning, breastfeeding.

Yes, it's huge. But you have to remember that the babies won't be 7 lbs forever and will need the space. Plus it straps to you, so once you get it on, it doesn't feel too big with both babies on it. Finally, the front part holds a laptop very well, once you get it established!

I'm a big fan. I actually am trying to buy a second one b/c I get so angry when I forget it while out! :search:

Mine was a hand-me-down from another twin mom. If you're worried about the expense, join a local multiples club and ask if anybody wants to resell theirs. I love it, and would buy one in a heartbeat, even full price.

I couldn't live without it...we are still using it at 16 months! I started tandem nursing at 2 weeks and never looked back (except for the few times we ventured into public!). The EZ2Nurse was essential.

I would look for a used one if you are not sure...the cover is removable and washable!

I'll be the black sheep -
I got a hand me down one from another twin mom as well. I used it a few times at best. I prefered nursing the babies individually the majority of the time and when I did nurse them together I was most comfortable with lots of pillows.
Does anyone have one you could try out??

I would get one used and then you could sell it if you don't like it, or when you're done with it. I use mine once or twice a day, but I really prefer nursing them individually. The pillow isn't perfect for me, but it's the best thing I can find to tandem nurse. It doesn't go high enough, so I find myself leaning over or having to prop up the EZ 2 Nurse with other pillows. It really doesn't seem that big to me, especially now that my babies are HUGE!

I really love my EZ 2 Nurse pillow. I used it all the time for the twins -- both tandem and individually. I also used it a lot in the early days of BFing Amelia. Now she's so big and strong I don't need it. I totally thought it was worth the money.

I don't use it now, but when I was tandem nursing I used it ALL day! I have no idea how I would have gotten through the first two months without it. When we get back to tandem nursing again I will probably use it then. There were some things I really hated about it (its size, etc), but it was very handy, especially when all three of us were just getting the hang of nursing.

I found mine used on ebay for 1/2 price.

So, I agree with other posters--if you think you may tandem it is well worth the money.

I think that pillow was one of the main reasons I stuck with nursing! I was going crazy the first few days when they were nursing non-stop...doing it one at a time left me no time to feed myself or even shut my eyes. I ordered that thing with overnight delivery and didn't even wait to wash the cover when it arrived - I threw a blanket over it and started nursing tandem! I would not have made it through the first two months without it because mine were so tiny that propping pillows just didn't help. We still use it now once in a while, and even when I nurse them individually they seem more comfortable on that than on the boppy someone gave me. It's like they get to lay on a bed while they nurse. Totally worth every penny, but like pps said, look for a used one if you can. Twins/multiples clubs are a great place to look. GL!

I love mine, but only use it when they both demand to be fed at the same time, but usually I only use it for the last feeding at night. I have a hard time using it anywhere but in my bed. It doesnt fit well on the couch, it sticks out too far.
